F800R instrument cluster upgrade, Motoscan coding

Activating the gear indicator, tank range and coolant temperature. You can have these features only via coding with Motoscan, no extra parts need to be installed.
The dashboard trim I installed was bought on Aliexpress, look for "Motorcycle Dash Board Trim Instrument Cluster Surround for F800R 2007-17"
Aliexpress also sells BMW ICOM D Cable 10 Pin Adapter for around 9 dollars.
UniCarScan UCSI-2000 was bought directly from WGSoft for 49 euros.
My motorcycle was also a model without OBC and I was able to display water temperature, fuel and gear position using the method you described. I appreciate you.
I think “Temp.display” is the display of the ambient temperature. Currently, my motorcycle is not equipped with an ambient temperature sensor, but I found a cable and mounting hole near the left blinker, so I will try again when I get an ambient sensor.

Thank you very very much! I was able to unlock the potential of the instrument cluster as well. Unfortunatly i had to pay an extra 50€ to unlock de app (Ultimate License). But i made it!

Sorry I didn't write it down, I did it rather intuitively, the gear option is called "gear indicator", for the temperature and fuel you have to see, just try and activate different options.

I believe so.
I don't remember the price in Play store, but it might've been something around that amount. You need the ultimate version for coding.

I have a question for you. Without the info button on the left hand switch pack on the bar, how is it possible to cycle through the multi function display information? Such as fuel consumption and average speed
it is described in the bike's user manual: you can use the buttons on the dashboard. Just need to switch functions between the non-existent "info" button and the bottom dash button by long pressing both dash buttons then selecting "on" or "off" (can't remember which) in the flashing menu that appears. mess with it, you can't break anything.
Hello..i just got an F800R and have the small instrument cluster. It's not very clear to me - did you replace the screen/cluster assembly or the big screen is actually covered with the plastic and you dremelled it out. I want to do a cluster upgrade and was wondering if it was possible. Thanks
I dremelled it out, but there should also be covers available on Aliexpress, so that you can replace it without dremelling.
@@femalegarage thanks for the reply. What year is your bike ? Do all of them have the required sensors to display the gear selection, temperature, etc ? Mine also doesn't have some features, like the heated grips
2010. I believe they all have these sensors. You could first activate them with Motoscan and remove the cover to see if it works.

@@femalegarage Hello again. I finally got around to doing the mods and I can`t seem to activate some functions - like the fuel gauge. Is there a special procedure ? They are activated in the coding list. Also, how do you cycle trough the options without the Info button on your handlebar ? Thanks

Have you had to assemble any more components to make it work?? Because there is no information about this! Just buy the bike with the computer and it's better not to get into trouble!, and it seems so simple in the video that you want to do it. Since my motorcycle doesn't have a computer.
The info is in the description. I didn't plan on enhancing the screen when I was buying the bike until I learned you can do it so easily without installing any extra gear.
