Answering question about slayers army. I've been in turn ~30. I didn't confederate any legendary lords yet, so I created army under Demon Slayer. Before I managed to transfer legendary heroes and my Lord has been low level, I composed army of 3x Goblin hewers, 2x cannons with grapeshot, 5x pirate slayers + 4 various melee slayers, overal 15 units and it performed very well. I've been against balanced early Norsca full stack and till I tried to intervene with my 3x melee units in reserve, my frontline managed to rout attackers what connect, so very impressive, almost afk. With 4 legendary heroes it is auto resolve all the time yet, but they are heading to Oak of ages. ;)

Dark elf's set a trap for me with 3 armies lol but lucky Malachi had his gyro Copter doomstack and I won.
3 weeks late but my thoughts on the difficulty progression through out a campain. I think a cheat increase with turns would pair very well with a cheat increase with destroyed factions. So maybe an increase of a few % with every 10 turns or so and also when the remaining factions fall below certain thresholds

Maybe try a war with everyone streaming no allies and see how long you can survive or win? Make a rule like every 10 turns you must declare war on visible nearby race?
He's done a couple campaigns like that. They're tagged "This is Total War X" where X=the faction he's playing. Hope that helps
I really want to like this campaign, but I feel like I spend all my time trying to wipe out Norsca and keep Chaos at bay while the rest of the order factions in the area suck up all the good provinces and wipe out the enemies I need to complete the later Adventures.
The umgi should have helped you out. Satisfy the grudge.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Dawi and Empire new streams and the rework but it is not enough to forgive CA. This patch clearly demonstrates that the management at CA can STFU and listen to their masters and produce amazing content, and it is objectively true that this latest patch is outstanding. But at what cost? There are amazing software devs, coders, artists, and programmers who have lost their jobs because of pi$$ poor management and weak leadership.
The content is amazing and I love the Empire and Dawi rework, it looks sublime and enormous fun, but at what cost? Those that were supposed to be in charge, for the most part, kept their jobs and those that made fantasy a reality have lost theirs. If CA really want to make things right with the community they should own their mistakes and take these people back on, whether it is to work on TWWH3, Medieval 3, 40K, Star Wars (highly unlikely) or any other title. Bit the fat cats need to admit their flaws and move aside and those who have spent years making this the game that it is should be allowed to come back.
Support for the devs and the artists seems to have been largely forgotten because this patch is objectively brilliant, but at what cost? We need another petition to support those who were sacrificed at the altar of Management Ego's. CA will never have my support until they right the wrong they forced upon those who were not responsible for their F*%k ups.
Source please for "amazing software devs, coders, artists, and programmers who have lost their jobs." How do you know the poorer performers were not let go? Or do you believe every single person in those roles was "amazing?"
all this talk about WH40K brought a thought up in my mind. Games workshop is very protective of the 40K franchise way more than the WH franchise there's a small but not insignificant chance that after all the controversy with TWWH Games workshop could have pulled the rites to 40K from CA. this sudden talk about star wars may be CA trying to get the rites to produce a game that they have already put a lot of time and effort into (given that TW star wars would be just a reskin of TWWH40K)
There are countless garbage 40k games that GW was happy to licence

I hate 40k with passion. I would gladly trade 40k total war for star wars total war, even if its mid.
Looks to me like you're bailing on the campaign because you have more enemies than your armies can handle. The viewer numbers are always higher when you have a bit of a struggle.
