  • An excerpt from a longer video showing the new drafting rules when playing with Obsession, the Upstairs, Downstairs Expansion, the Wessex Expansion, and the Characters Expansion.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DRAFT IS FOR WHEN UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS IS USED. THERE IS ANOTHER VIDEO FOR WHEN ONLY THE BASE GAME IS USED WITH CHARACTERS.
Note: This a reissued video. I took down the first video to correct a spelling error.

Was the Howard family always "over powered"?

Yes. I loved the idea of a family starting with a legendary cook, a Mrs. Patmore personality. Theme oozed from the idea. However, the cook is and has always been definitively stronger than £300 or a footman or a tile or 4/5 reputation level or the Dowager.

@@kayentagamesdanhallagan856 Interesting. I will at some point pick this expansion up, but do you have a recommendation for those without this expansion to balance the game.

@@randybookman The servant draft smooths things out. I would simply mandate that Howard cannot take a second Upstairs, Downstairs servant. That should do it.

@@randybookman I often give Howard as a handicap; the new or weaker player gets the strongest family.
