Happy Birthday Angelina. I happened to see Angelina perform on AGT last January and was completely mesmerized in a way Janis Joplin did some 53 years ago. Immediately I began to search for more videos. Thanks Rusty, you made this process so much easier and informative also. It did take a couple weeks and i was able to listen to all 130+ songs. Certainly Angelina can put a smile on anyones face with little ditties like "Keep on Smilin" & "You make me feel so young" Its when she delves into soulful renditions of "Wicked Game" "Wake me up" "it,s a mans world" and so many others (her new one "Million Miles") she grabs ahold of your heart and makes you feel the emotional sting of the song. I am 68 years old now and i sure hope I'm around to see her stand next to the likes Janis, Ella & Whitney as one of the Greatest singers of all time. Oh just one more thought, couldn't you just imagine sitting in St. Patricks Cathedral listening to Angelina singing "How Great Thou Art" ...suddenly a man looking suspiciously like Jesus sits down next to you and says " I just had to stop in and see my little Angel sing" ...just a thought.

I must have listened to this AGT performance of Angelina's 500 times by now, and have analyzed, studied and absorbed every second of it, but I still can't hold back the tears when I hear it again. When you realize what is happening here, and when you see the reaction of her family, including her grandmother crying, it's very moving. And when you see Angelina smile, realizing her dream of impressing Simon was now a reality, we're privileged to be witnessing a very special moment in her life. Remember, not only did she cry at the end when Heidi hit the golden button, but in the interview before the performance she was also crying when she said how amazing it would be if she could impress Simon, and how this was the most important time in her life.
Angelina, this is just the beginning. There are millions of people the world over who love you, your one in a billion talent, and what your life represents. We all hope you have a special fifteenth birthday, and that you and all your family stay safe.
This performance changed my life. Because of this song, I have listened to and watched everything that involves Angelina. Spectacular! This is my favorite Angelina song. Hap, finally, the MASTERPIECE! This was great you listened to this on her birthday! And, believe me when I tell you that all of YOUR fans teared up watching you react to Angelina. You showed a lot of strength to keep your emotions in check but we could see what a struggle it was. I know how happy you were to see her sing Bohemian Rhapsody.
Hap, if you insist I could tell you all about the AGT Show and it's results but let's just say for now Angelina's performances (there were 2 more) stole the show and her mission to get exposure in the USA far exceeded Angelina and her team's expectations!
Hap, I don't know what you were hinting about (the channel) but, Hap, regardless of what turns out for you, never let Angelina get away from you. She is in your heart and will always be there to comfort you whenever the need arises. (All of us are glad to be in Angelina's world and we wouldn't want it to be any other way.)

I couldn't watch the show live I was so nervous for her, even though she doesn't have that problem. I turned it on when I thought the performance was over and saw the tail-end of the confetti drop. Then I knew she had won the night. So I had to wait for about an half-hour to see the whole thing. Then the whole thing was yanked down and from then on you got heavily edited versions of the performance.
So when I saw the whole thing they kept trying to get her to say she was nervous, which she never did, the most they got was, 'I'm very excited'. When I finally saw needless to say I was in tears before she sang, 'the wind blows' and I didn't stop for a half-hour after the song finished. I mean you're showing this almost a year after it was on and I am typing these words and I am crying right now. It is amazing how quickly all the same sensations are just right there.The guitar with her L.A. man Ivan doing his thing just right. It took me 10 times listening to it before I figured out that a piano started playing at some point. I am a vocal melody guy and I get so entrenched in listening to the singer that sometimes I lose track of......well everything else.
Angelina is going to be a huge star and while I loved Howie's hyperbolic pronouncement I think Angelina was going to make her way to Super Star all on her own. As long as the family is there for the next few years Angelina will do just fine.

The contribution I make in the comment seems amazing to me that after an introduction with conversations and smiles, in front of thousands of people and knowing that millions of people are watching on television, he begins to sing a cappella and does it perfect, in my case I would have had a terrible scare
She got up there that night and delivered a masterpiece. I could not put a number on how many times I have listened to this over the last year, but I will say, I have heard this so many times that I have heard every little detail... every run, every fluttery vibrato, every unique pronunciation.... my conclusion... this is a flawless masterpiece. Freddie would be proud. In fact, I think any musician in the history of music would proud of the beautiful piece of art she created there. For many of the people in the comments here, this was the first thing they saw from Angelina and were instantly hooked. For those of us that were following her long before this, having watched her grow from that toothless little girl on NGT, I can't even describe how proud we all were of her that night.

There's no doubt she's a very special artist and person. She killed this song with her own arrangement and her face during the judges critiques was so humble, like waiting to see if they liked it or not. And even when Heidi pushed the golder buzzer, she was crying of happiness.
You are right. She was invited to participate. Remember this is AGT - The Champions, so winners and runner-ups from around the world come to sing there. Last year one of the contestants was Jackie Evancho, for example. But Angelina had been invited for the first season and her family thought she was still too young, so she came to this one with 13 years of age. the show aired when she was barely 14.
Not a pin dropping in the theatre. Simon's face says it all. She really shocked EVERYONE! And now, the next performance, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road will throw you of your chair, believe me. :)

It's really hard to understand how this 13 year old was able to take on a challenge with such an iconic song, yet she turned it into HER song, with a fantastic reworking, a calm, powerful and terrifying performance for control and musical intelligence that demonstrates. Angelina. 😆 ❤️ The 3 year old girl in Norway had a dream, while watching Talents on TV, to sing for Simon one day, I would say that after only 10 years she did it really well, she fascinated him and not only him.

This is the absolute best reaction to this Iconic moment in Angelina's career, I have heard. You got it all! The emotions of her fans as they watched (and tears), the storming the shores of AGT, Champions, the reaction of the audience and the judges, her originality and the cherry on top is you recognized her family. The performance was on AGT Champions which is, indeed, by invitations extended to previous contestants of Got Talent shows worldwide. The regular AGT is done through auditions. Happy Birthday to our barefoot angel!!
