Hey guys . Todays adventure I’ll be taking you to another famous gravesite. Today we’ll be visiting the final resting place of David Graf. Most known for his role as Tackleberry from the Police Academy Films
Paul David Graf (April 16, 1950 - April 7, 2001) was an American actor, known for his role as Sgt. Eugene Tackleberry in the Police Academy series of films
Graf was born in Zanesville, Ohio, and later moved to Lancaster, Ohio, and graduated from Lancaster High School. He studied theatre at Otterbein College in Westerville, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated in 1972. He attended graduate school at Ohio State University until 1975, when he dropped out to pursue his acting career.

From the 1st time I saw Police Academy. Eugene Tackleberry has always been my favorite. I lost count of how many times I've seen them all. His character kept me laughing (and still do). I also saw David on a Night Court episode (Season 5 Episode 6 Mac's Dilemma). Even then, he had me laughing. If there will ever be a remake of Police Academy, there is nobody who can outdo Tackleberry/David Graf.

My father (who passed in 2014) went to school with him. My Aunt (my mom’s sister) is buried there. She passed this year (she is at the bottom of the hill by the front entrance).

Me, my wife and my son went to Legoland for my 9 year old son's birthday wish. I had been meaning to come and visit his grave before. Being so close, I decided to come by, pay my respects, and put flowers on his grave. That little police officer figure was still there. I held it and took a picture of it. Paul David Graf will ALWAYS be the ONLY Tackleberry to me, even if (let's hope not) Hollywood decides to make a reboot. Thank you Mr. Graf for all the childhood memories of your greatest movies. I wasn't even born when Police Academy came out, yet growing up with those movies made me feel like those characters were a part of family. Rest In Peace to you and all the other cast members and crew who have passed away over the years. May you all have neverending love and bliss in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Didn't know David personally but went to high school with him. It was kinda big deal when the Police Academy movie came out. He stole the movie from the other big name actors.
