WHY IS IS (x+3)(x+3)?? And why does it equal (x+3)2

You multiplied it to itself so it is the same if you just square it

(x+3)(x+3) = (x+3)x(x+3)
(x+3)x(x+3) = (x+3) x 2
Therefore,
(x+3)x(x+3) = (x+3)2 (or 2(x+3) lol
