    Wow, just found your video. I respect what you’ve done… just video, no narrative, let the natural beauty and sounds do the speaking. Epic day too. What you have delivered is unselfish and very generous❤❤❤

    I lived in Seaside and work red in Cannon Beach for 9 years. Ecola State Park was my favorite place to when I wanted to get away for a bit. I especially enjoyed watching storms from there. This video has made me want to visit it again. Thanks for sharing.

    Every day when I get off my treadmill, my husband asks, "where'd you go today?" Today I can tell him I went on a beautiful hike in beautiful Ecola State Park to beautiful Indian Beach in Oregon. Thank you, so much.

    When I was young I was going to hike across the Appalachians float down the Mississippi River but now I'm retired and this is the best way I can see any of the places I wanted to see. Thank you

    this trail looks like a slice of heaven. It is so sad that you can count sunny days on one hand in that area. If it had more sun around the year it would be unearthly beautiful.

    These are the kind of hiking videos I appreciate. No annoying overlay of "relaxation" music. Nature is relaxing enough! Love to see similar videos of Neahkanie mountain and Cape Falcon. Also like that you didn't edit out the people you passed on the hike, makes for a better reality. Was this filmed with a GoPro?

    Oh this was just blissfull, thank you so much for all your videos, I use them to get out and enjoy the outside while being in the UK lockdown, they lift my soul. You walk like we do, always looking into streams as you cross bridges, stopping to take a look at the views, walking quietly and stopping half way up steep slopes to take a look around, (my Mum would laugh becasue she would say she was 'just looking at the view' when we both knew we were out of breath!) I had always close to the New Forest but they have closed the park during this first wave of lockdowns, not sure when they will lift that, so until then I shall explore Oregon coastline, and Mt. Jefferson and Ponderosa Pine, walking on the spot and getting good healthy exercise. James you are a life saver

    Very peaceful video with just the nature sounds, nothing else. Nice to see the Oregon coastline and forest for the first time (I'm a Californian). What a spectacular video, carefully and thoughfully recorded for us to enjoy, thank you. I watched half today and will watch the other half during exercise tomorrow.

    Oh my goodness! Can’t you take the trail down to Crescent Beach anymore? My kids and I used to love to go down there and climb on the rocks. What happened?

    • @TallSky
      @TallSky  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was a couple of years ago. I think a tree had fallen farther down the trail, during a storm. Am sure they got that chainsawed outta there, but with all that is going on lately not completely sure it is open now. Best to call the ranger there.

    I grew up on the north coast (Tillamook/Oceanside), was drawn more to the mountains than the water, but can also appreciate the power and expansive views of the ocean. Thanks for taking me back to my coastal roots as well. Certainly enjoying all your postings!

      Thank you....yes, it is. It's equally rewarding to know that even though I hiked this path alone, that lots of people over time will share the hike with me by watching this - and also some of whom may never see this place for whatever reason.

    Thanks so much for all the effort you put into sharing beautiful places like this with the rest of us, especially at times like these. I've been "hiking around the world" on my treadmill to keep me sane while homeschooling my 3 young boys, when they let me, and I can say you are by far my favourite! I just love how you take the time to look around and explore all the little details of your surroundings, as I would if I was there (I trained as a botanist so I spend a lot of time trying to identify the plants!) It makes me feel like I am there too, hiking with a dear friend who shares the same love of nature and the same relaxed walking pace. Too many other of the virtual hikes out there go straight from A to Z without a single sideways glance. I don't know how anyone can hike like that.🙄

      The Hero8 now, but it just came onto the market in September of 2019. Shot that hike long before the 8.
