First mount the switch and the steering contact coil. if it doesn't work then activation by OBD is needed. It's an ECU function so activation should be done with the Sssangyong diagnosis tool.

Item should be choosen by the part number by SSY dealer - there were many differences between years among the same model (at least rexton - even switch can differ with the working voltage). Yes, coil needed to be changed, it's different depending on equipment of the vehicle (lack of stereo steering and cruise control - another coil).

After watching your video, can you confirm the following please? : 1. the cruise control switch model depends of the VIN and 2. it´s neccesary an extra device for matching the switch inside the steering wheel. Hi Jaime, I confirm point 1 for Rexton y2007, Ich don't know how it is for Actyon 2019. Point 2: I needed regular screwdriver and some big socket key, 22 mm or bigger. I don't remember in this very moment. Regards 🙂
Jaime V. Flores Palomino. changes everything. interior cables stering wheel. and Steering Contact Coil, already done the job. but I can't activate the cruise control. i have a ssangyong actyon sport 2016.
there is no need to install hardware in engine compartment. The only hardware you need is OEM switch and steering constact coil chosen by VIN of your vehicle. Cruise function is done by engine ECU. I think there is no need even activation by SSY dealer if the parts are chosen correctly. In my case firstly I mounted switch for Euro4 engine with no result, I asked SSY dealer for activation by diagnostic tool with no good result as well, and then I realised that the switch is incorrect (electronic templates for E3 and E4 engines indicates different voltages on switchs' pins). After changing the switch to the one relevant for Euro3 engine cruise control could be turned on with no additional activation. Good luck and have fun while doing this mode :)
@@slamarkoadventures4652 thanks for the reply. I noticed you had the diesel engine fitted in your rexton. I think it is the same engine i have in my rodius. 2.7L diesel turbo. So if i buy the geniune ssangyong cruise control switch, will it work straight up? Just like you did in the video? Like plug and play?
@@samfromnonofyourbusiness generally 163 or 165 HP 2.7 is E3. It has simple turbo with no various geometry, no DPF. 186 HP is euro4. But for ensure yourself check your vehicle by VIN. I think it plug and play mode. ECU will recognise signal from switch. I,m not 100% sure because like I wrote before at first I hadn't correct switch
