Back in the day, they were called the salt river mountains. And Jacob said " a cowboy would never find his mine because he knew a cowboy would never get off his horse ". Excellent story and thanks for sharing it.
This guy who worked down at superior heard the soldiers story. This man actually knew the location of the mine. Due to at this time everybody used this shortcut through hidden canyon. He heard their story and knew exactly where it was. Only people before 1880 would know about using this unnamed canyon. That’s why it was not the military trail but the OLD military trail. Old represent it’s not being used anymore. What happens is if people keep dying with a secret to a certain location. It becomes a forgotten place which has happened. Until now…
Diane Thanks. Look forward to viewing my new series Lost El Dorado of Jacob Waltz (The Lost Dutchman Mine 4 part series) based on 25 years of research of an old mine in the Superstitions and my book of the same name. Par one Lost El Dorado is out-an exciting tale of adventure in the mts. Jack
Proper Retorting is one of the most dangerous things a person I can do! Iron Flask method was what originally was used back then, Mercury Distillation Recycler.
I know it make sense and it doesn't at the same time because it was not use to kill them if they didn't know where their mine was ..maybe they torture them to make them speak...who knows.. rip soldiers .
@@joseramirez5298 could be they were followed until they got to mine location, and then killed. Afrer that the killer could have moved the corpses to place they will be found, and made it look like apache killing so there would be no questions what happened to the soldiers. Or the soldiers were just unlucky, and actually got killed by apaches.
@@lalli8152 yeah that to there it's a lot of possible senarios ..what if they knew they were being follow ( after all they were soldiers they where prepare for a lot of things)and they kill the people that where following them Leve them somewhere where they could be found Leve the hat so that they believe it was them that way they pretend it's own death and that way they could keep the gold for themselves.. after all they were not able to recognize the body's.
The Dutchman is alledged to have boarded up his mine around 1883. How could the soldiers have found gold bearing ore, as Jack conjectures, from his (Duchman's) mine?
I really enjoy these stories about The Lost Dutchman, but the allegation that Jacob Waltz murdered people. Also do you know anything about The Glen Ford movie?
The Apaches belonged there, can you later do a story on the Apaches and there land? That would be cool, can't go back in time but the truth about them can be told.
Apaches originated I Canada; moved down into Texas, where the fierce Comanches forced them out, then moved west; Ne Mexico and Arizona, and down into Me ico.
@DJ Lee it was different back then and whites didn't steal the land. Progress can't be stopped as our population grows peace had to be kept and violence was the only way back then. All or nothing is how it had to be. It worked out the best way possible the new leaders made a great system that has worked for a very long time because of the checks and balances. One thing they didn't count on is technology and that's how things got so out of control. The natives kept it going for far longer than the government set upby the whites have if they don't get everything straight. Definitely can't say for sure they are doing better with their casino than without Intruders at all. They definitely deserved better than they got. There were and still are some ruthless politicians out there. Hopefully we can clean it up and get the country back how our forefathers intended it to be before it dies. Trump is our last chance. They are running a man who did what he was accused of doing and got falsely it impeached for. He is going to have killary as his vp and that will be the end of what freedom is left. They rigged the last one but underestimated that American intuition they won't make that mistake again. These people will do anything to keep their power and everyone knows it. The only question I have is will the American people stand up when the election numbers come in and they all know it's wrong will they stand up for themselves? It just might be white man's time to give up his land now.
If it was SO important to relocate this mine, why wasn't more men sent with them to help protect against imminent Apache attack? Another interesting story though.
@@jacksanfelice8840 Awesome, I am a big fan of your show. I was born and raised in Utah, so I have been to Arizona many, many times. Unfortunately I now live in Illinois and I miss the Southwest terribly. Thanks for putting out such a great show!
