It syncs up near-perfectly if you extend it from where it cuts off in-game, right down to Crow's dialogue starting when the last few notes fade out. Destroyed me when I tried it myself

This is the music we will hear inside the traveler. Finally passing the portal inside. 2:58 it fits so well to 3:18 with the final reveal up until 3:35 being the start of 'a new frontier' or whatever happens after the final shape.

If so, that’s what proved pivotal, holding Activision more accountable for this fallout. So sad...where Bungie went wrong was letting Activision be the hand that feeds. However, without that, we may never have experienced the beauty here, and because of it more ears were made aware of something much deeper than what they’d normally deem “ambient”. Bungie and Marty was the harmonious duo we came to see and should continue to support. Unfortunately, the drunk mess that stole Marty’s “mic” also owns the bar. 4 years down, 6 more to go...

The evidence used for 'him being an asshole' was 30 seconds of footage of friendly ribbing from the Halo 2 developer vidocs out of context and a couple misquoted tweets also taken out of context. I still love this part. I used to sit in orbit in my Arcadia-Class Jumpship, just imagining what could be out there in the rust of the Cosmodrome, or the jungles of Venus. My imagination made Destiny into something far greater than it could have ever been, but that was the point I guess.
Original was something special, though not without flaws, it had a mystery to it and the music elevated that further. Destiny 2 had it moments, sure, but it was clear there was a power struggle taking place internally between (a) make great content or (b) hire Didn’t Earn It employees who are confused about biology, and so, let’s pump the game with it. What a ruinous shame, even going so far as to bring characters back in order to win back fan approval. Servers were still a hot mess… over a decade later. It’s clear that greed mostly won, but we all had some fun times and good memories. Not all was lost. Bungie, it IS better to burn out than to fade away. R.I.P.
Something about the whole lead up to actual Paul McCartney part just gives me butterflies, and gives me tears of joy from the nostalgia of D1.
