Cats actually enjoy all running water, I have a little fountain for my babies, their saliva is thick and can make their drinking bowl really gross and need to be changed often
Absolutely. I had a faucet with a very slow drip. I couldn't fix it because the cat was so entertained by each drop.

I enjoyed the video. I am a senior citizen and I have despised cats as long as I can remember. Recently my daughter who loves animals of all kinds called me about a dirty half-starved very young kitty that had wandered in her yard, and since she and both her daughters already had several cats, she called and begged me to take this kitty. I reluctantly did and I absolutely adore him! What a pleasure he is to my husband and me. We took him to the vet first thing and he is beautiful and very loved. Thanks for the video. I am trying to learn all I can about cats, so I will be a good “mother!”
I love this story ,I love cats ,my husband was very reluctant when my daughter suggested we get a kitten he had no hate or love of cats he just didn't give them a thought,When my daughter brought this tiny black kitten he just looked at thus tiny ball of black fluff as if she was a rat .Now 10 years later Belle us his best friend, she s like an alarm clock up kissing his face to get up .Belle is like his shadow till he goes to work and when he returns she's sitting on arm of couch rubbing her head off him she adore s my husband ,I'm taken for granted as I'm here all the time .She was great when I was very ill minding me sitting at end of bed. I just love cats 😗

I think they mean moving them or bugging them. Wasp it's important to know that every cat is different, so one might not mind you petting them then, while another might get annoyed. The best thing is just to mind your cat and learn what they'll accept.
The reason many people hate cats for being "antisocial" is likely because they have only interacted with under socialized cats. Cats are very affectionate when you actually take proper care of them.
I agree! If you really care and love them and give them freedom, they can be so loving companion. Only 3 months I am with Nana ( My 7 months old Black baby girl ) and all my other cat owner friends can not believe the strong bond we have, she follows me everywhere , we do things together like cooking, dancing, playing hide and seek, sleeping, running, and I trained her to be always on my shoulders as well, so I can let her reach higher places at my apartment and also watch things together on BBC big cat documentaries. Cats are amazing animals, Dogs see you as God but cats not and they are so affectionate if only you show love .

Also people that don't own cats think these way, mostly because if they interact with cats, it's others person cat, and most cats don't fell confortable with strangers, so they disappeared inmediately and if they are being force to stay, they don't act like they usually do.
Only kind hearted and smart people love cats.

When I had a baby cat I used to pet her with a clean warm toothbrush making Them feel like their mother was licking her. Her mum died right after birth so we adopted her. So cute (/°^°)/

For 18 years I had to hold my cat like a teddy bear. If I would let him go and turn around he would get up and walk around my head and went to my arms as he was bitching about it. Even when I clipped his claws he would sit on my lap like a boy and he would just purring. I miss him so much he was always stocked to me all the time I was home. My profile pics is my lovely boy.

I feel you. I had a cat too when I was still a child . The school was near my house so when I was going school my cat would follow me. One day when I opened the door of my house, I saw him waiting me,I avoided him and now I regret it because he's gone and I'll never see him again
cats sleep 15-16 hours a day? I think for mine, she would sleep about 20-22 hours a day. The other hours were spent eating and taking a poop.
Essentially the same schedule as my sister. The only difference is that the cat actually picks up things around the house.

Snafu2346 Different cats have different personalities. Generally cats sleep most of the day to preserve energy for hunting. But sleeping more can be a character trait. But on the other hand that her sleeping may be too much or “irregular”, I would suggest consulting a vet for any health issues.

Of course I'm not. If you play rough with a cat, it will think you're doing it when you rub their tummy and will react accordingly. I have always been very gentle with my 2, and they both LOVE having tummy rubs. In fact, Lily, my long-haired tabby (aged about 8) climbs into bed with me every night, lays into me and lets me rub her tummy, while she purrs. It's our nightly ritual. Alfie, my short-haired brown mackerel tabby (aged about 11), does exactly the same. They both absolutely love me rubbing their tummies.
They both love lots of attention and are not the stereotypical solitude cats most people think of. They both love sitting on my lap, too.

I can't imagine my life without my cats. I owned 17 cats and I love them with all my heart. They all have names and it feels so great that every time I call their names, they come running towards me. I am working from home and every time I goes out my home office, they kept on following me. When I go to the city and do groceries or just unwind, I feel so excited to come home coz whenever I come home all of them are waiting at door and wanted me to carry them one by one. They're all so sweet and just thinking about them put a smile into my face. They are my family and the love of my life.
I recently rescued in pouring rain a 3 week old kitten that was abandoned at the side of the road. My first kitten as a pet. I am learning a lot about kittens that I did not know before. They are as loving and playful as puppies.

Great video. I love cats. Such intelligent animals and so affectionate too considering they're predators by nature lol. My little friend Bella was from a wild background and she has never really settled down fully even to this day but when she does relax and show her tender side, she is a pure pet who will quite happily sit against my leg/side on the couch all night long and purr away as I rub her.

My daughter-in-law lived in the country. Her cat would go to the neighbor's barn & catch mice. She always brought her trophies home. If Tina happened to be in bed. The cat put the mice on her pillow dead or alive. After all we have been taught to share... lol

Never had a cat that wanted to be left alone to sit by itself and never paid attention to. All three of mine wanted petted and wanted my attention. Very affectionate and sweet, even when they were trying to "scold" me for food... ha. One disturbing thing about this video though, is that toddler handling that ktten. NOT the way to handle a baby animal...and cats get very quiet, like their wild roots, when they feel threatened. Unless they see a way to escape, then will fight like crazy. Kitten was not enjoying the toddler's rough handling...it was obviously scared. So please, don't give a baby animal to YOUR baby to play with. Its just stupid.

The little child didn't know any better and most kids are unaware of the damage they do. Some parents are unaware of how to hold a cat so you can't exactly blame them. (I have owned cats all my life and I am aware it's incorrect). People should know how to handle a cat but you can't get mad if they don't know. Especially children. They love to cuddle things that are soft or small or doll like. Some people are unaware that is even is an improper way to hold a cat.

I love cats!! I’m 68 yrs old and have had cats in my life from the beginning. So many have come and gone, but ALL have enriched my life as each is a unique individual. My husband and I have been married 40 yrs and have only been without a cat in our home for 1 year during all that time. We now are back to where we started as we have 5 cats and 1 dog. We were a blended family when we married as he had 2 cats and I had 3 cats and the dog. Actually, the reason we are at 5 is he is crazy about cats!! Thank you for showing just how wonderful they are. At some point you should mention respecting an cat with regards to what areas you pet. Every cat is different and some have sensitive spots or bad memories that make it more complicated to pet them.

As a general rule, cats want to be petted on the face/ears/neck/cheeks and possibly along the top of the back and where the back and tail meet. Few cats want belly rubs. Feel like this should just be stated somewhere in the video.

My cats are indoor cats. There are a lot of scary dogs nearby. My cat is a good cat I should say, he is my precious little one. The oldest and helped me teach the other cats when they were kittens. I consider him to be my one and only since he gets jealous when I spend time with the other cats. He is my world and he knows he is, I spend a lot of my time with him. He acts tough when he is around the other cats, but when we are alone he sticks beside me. Hip to hip. How I know we are close is because I can pet his stomach without him trying to claw me. He knows when I need attention and I know when he needs attention.

My Soxy loves to always know what I’m doing and watches everything I do, he’s the family cat but I’m the one who looks after him so my family thinks I’m his favourite and they call me Soxy’s Mum plus Soxy and I have a bond that I can’t explain and he honestly is my best friend.

Great video, I totally agree with the watching out windows, my big girl, sits in front of the glass door window, from morning till night,, and then some. She even touches noses through the glass with a rabbit who is taking over my patio. My cat is the most loving when I say night,, night,, and she races me to bed. I love cats so much! My boy is 7 years old and so affectionate! He always sleeps in the barn and around 5 pm he comes to back door and wants in. Then he wants to cuddle and eat. After eating we go outside and stroll along our sand road. We play, cuddle and talk to each other. He is very independet but loves us so much :) And we love him. Sorry if my English is bad :I

I have three cats, an 8 year-old male who is a bit spoiled though more vocal about it than clingy, a 7 year-old female who is clingy and spoiled rotten and always wants to be near me or over my workplace, and finally a 1 year-old female, she used to be really sweet and playful when she was a kitten, but now she's a bit more quiet I think it's because she's in her adolescent stage, but I love them all and couldn't live without them :D

My daughter left her cat at my house after college. He was really scared when she adopted him. I only saw his eyes under her bed, even in college. Now I can scratch his belly, armpits,chin and feet. Has just started sleeping right next to me. Last nite he was on his back (show that vulnerable belly) with his legs splayed across my legs. Love him. Moving to AZ in dec. will miss meeko boy. You forgot to mention how many cats love finding hiding places they claim as their own to snuggle into.Cats love climbing yes,one reason is the they feel safe but some cats love finding their own private spots to tuck themselves away in even more for the same reason.
I have one cat who loves me and will never leave my side (She's with me sleeping right now)
And I have one other cat who is the complete opposite she prefers my mom :P
Their names are Sophine and Ninia but we sometimes call them Nina and Sophie :P sorry if you can't pronounce their names
