Hi Dale, hope you're keeping well. They were part of a small lot of tools I got which contained a lot of upholstery tools, the leather cutter I did was in it too, so I guess they would be useful for tacking fabic in place.

Very cool hammers! I need to find that deox c. Awesome job on the handles! The to do pile is always growing but it's nice to have a few choices.

Cheers, I've heard that deox is similar to evaporust but don't quote me on that. Was nice to have a go at making a new handle too, takes longer than you first think though!

That was a lot of work, but they came out great! Was that an exceptionally soft brass that you used for the rivets? It seemed to deform rather easily. This video deserves more views! In my next video, I will be sure to give you a shout out. It may not help much as my viewers may already be your viewers, but since I just found your channel, maybe there are others in the tool community on this side of the pond who have not found you yet!?! Cheers! 👍😀😎

It took a lot more pounding than it appeared but I think it was worth it. That's really nice of you, we're never going to make millions on youtube but there's a great community spirit out there😁👍🏻

@@Bloodshed.restorations No we will not make millions. The market (of viewers) is small and the number of channels is large! I do it for fun, I do it to be part of a greater community of like minded people, and I like making connections with other people far away that I may never see or talk to otherwise. If I keep at it and my channel grows a bit more, maybe when I retire, it will make a little money for me, but I expect nothing. I do not ask for likes and subscribes. Everyone watching knows how it works or will know soon enough without me sounding like I'm begging. I know a few other tool channels that do one or two other social media platforms to pull viewers from one to the other, but I barely have time for what I do already, and I have no intention of trying to manage content on another platform. The people who have been on YT longer, were on it when the channel market was less saturated, so they tend to have a lot of subscribers like "Mr. Pete 222" but they also have a low views to subscriber ratio.

I fully agree, if I stop enjoying it I won't do it. TH-cam, and other platforms, are massively over saturated nowadays. Too many people expecting the world to give them a living for basically standing around in their underwear or being useless idiots. That's why I like a lot of the smaller channels, we're still real people who have jobs and bills to pay. Mind you if the world wanted to give me money for being a useless lump, I'd certainly consider it!😂
