I am just so praying hard that the game will go back to its roots with the new engine, Midnight in Salem was such a low-energy game that I really miss the more complexities of older games.
That's the issue, though: the Nancy Drew games are by necessity low-budget titles, and the new engine itself probably ate up most of their budget. With an established engine, though, it's reasonable to expect they'll have more time and budget this go-round for a more fleshed-out Nancy Drew adventure.
I completely agreed. Midnight in Salem was the only ND game I've ever played where I didn't need help or hints with any puzzles. i found it to be very simple. Sometime when I replay the older games (after I've forgotten everything) I still have trouble with some of the puzzles LOL. Getting used to the new voice actress is going to take some time.
Trying to not get too excited just in case if it's another Midnight in Salem. Hope the devs learned their lesson and make a game that will be equally loved as the previous titles !
I hope, I HOPE Her Interactive will actually LISTEN to us fans and give us a game better then Midnight in Salem... not only were the graphics horrible for that game it was severally lacking for me in terms of just how long the game was.... I also missed having mini games to do as well as being challenged more which I don't remember really happening with the last game
Halfway through Midnight in Salem, and also frustrated by the graphics, I found a setting that I changed from low graphics to high graphics and it helped immensely! Perhaps this one will have that option too.

@philipskitchen1424 How do you know that? Brittany Cox has done a lot of voice work. You have no way of knowing how important this job is to her compared to any others she's doing. It honestly sounds like she's phoning this one in. Very little inflection or acting, it sounds like she's just reading off a page rather than acting.

really really hope the characters look as good as they did in sea of darkness and that they get back to the core of their old games with this one. If this one flops like salem did idk how many fans would come back

My 3 favorite Nancy Drew games are the 2nd game Stay Tuned For Danger, the 25th game Alibi In Ashes, and the 30th game The Shattered Medallion. .....I just hope this game sells well, and keeps Her Interactive going for a very long time. The voice reminds me of that fake one used in tiktoks. But the scenery and music look nice. MinS let me down, so I'll have to wait and see before I get excited.

I thought the company stopped making them! We have been going in order for the last few months. The kids will be so happy! I hope they will go back to the types of games they made like Cursed Medalion or Waters Edge. 🙏🏻
As far as I’m concerned the BEST Nancy Drew games, despite the old technology, are the oldest. Midnight in Salem was the biggest disappointment of all!

I'm so excited for this!!! Not only have I been a long-time Nancy Drew fan of MY WHOLE LIFE ---- My family are from Prague. I hope this game is leaps and bounds better than MIS. My one hope for this game is that it runs better than MID did. I honestly loved the visuals, music, voice acting, etc. for MID, i just couldnt enjoy that without having to run the game in 480p. i hope 3 years was enough to optimize the engine

I'm over excited and overwhelmed.. my dream is coming true.. life has been a struggle as of late.. and Nancy was always a cure. I hope you guys have gone the old route with using the new engine and what-not. But none the less I will enjoy this through and through. Even if it ain't old nancy voice. I can't wait. Even though this game is from my childhood but I haven't gotten to part 32 yet... I'm only going through part 27 for the first time in order. By this point, 34 will be in no hurry)
It’s definitely beautiful. I love the design, the authenticity. Not getting classic Nancy vibes, but I imagine this game will give us new Nancy vibes, a more modern one. Looking forward to playing it!
