Launcher throwing knife melee doesn't count for camos, but it does give weapon xp. If struggling to get kills for weapon xp, just use the throwing knife melee for 1 hit melee kills

quick tip: if the game ends and you were on like a 2 kill streak, you can get one more kill in the next match so long as you don’t die and it will count as a 3 kill without dying
A few quick tips I have 1. Equip flashes when going for melee challenges and when an enemy is flashed, go around them if possible since most people will fire straight in front. If you are in a tight space and entering a room or corner, crouch and walk through with the riot shield 2. Equip throwing knifes when leveling up the JOKR as the XP for each kill will count to your JOKR and it will be easier since throwing knife melees are a one shot kill. Remember to have the JOKR in your hands before meleeing and also throwing knife kills don't count to the camo challenges 3. I recommend unlocking Gold for every weapon before going for Platinum challenges. Then, you can actually skip the Platinum challenges on the rocket launchers and instead get Platinum for the DLC weapons (The XMR, BAS-P, M13B and the upcoming Honey Badger in the Reloaded update) since Polyatomic only requires 51 Platinum guns and from Season 1 Reloaded there will be 55 weapons in the game* (Read my edit below) 4. When going for the 3 kills without dying challenge, if you have lost track of how many kills you have gotten, use the kill counter underneath the UAV which shows how many kills you are from getting the killstreak. There is 4 bars, meaning you need 4 kills for the killstreak and if 3 of them are white, that's 1/10 completed on the challenge EDIT: Don't do what I have said in number 3. I highly recommend doing a weapon class gold then get platinum on that weapon class before moving on to others and repeating the process. I didn't do this and now I'm just doing longshots which is kind of a pain. You can still skip rocket launchers and do all the pistols, melees and primary weapons and you can actually skip doing gold on some guns in the ARs, SMGs and Snipers class and go straight for platinum to save a bit of time.
If you’re struggling with the m16 or any assault rifles, the under barrel shotgun counts as progression. I did the m16 in a game and a half because the shotgun is actually pretty good

While going for the platinum challenges and polyatomic, if you're struggling I'd suggest you could start using gold/platinum on your gun to start getting the mastery challenges in progress
I will give one piece of advice that seriously helped me while doing the assault rifles, the point blank kills with them are made easy with the shotgun underbarrel attachment.
What is helping me for longshots and pistols is the hardcore mode, one bullet one kill, for longshots and my bad internet connection I find this the best method
With how the camo progress works, on shoot house it’s pretty rare to find someone who goes for long shots in the middle lane, this year the most efficient way to complete those challenges is to simply play hardpoint or domination. You can get a lot of long shot on maps like mercado, embassy or the hydroelectric map. And more, they blocked the little container on the right side of the office spawn were you could see on on the other spawn, so shoot house for the most part is basically useless for longshots
Because nobody does long shots on core shoothouse , they need to add hardcore shoothouse but they act like it takes months to add that stuff in it’s so dumb
Sometimes you need to just wait for the right game. I’ve had games where I get 30+ longshots in just that game. Other games there is no one coming down mid. I suggest leaving the game and looking for good lobbies where people constantly come down middle

Tbh to make polyatomic go faster before you even unlock the camo train yourself for headsets found out mostly to the chin counts as a headshot you can aim for the neck and it counts as a headshot

Something fun and quick to do Drop in Warzone and drop at a gas station, loot it. You should have around 5-6 thousand dollars. Pick up a gun (hopefully one you need to get leveled up) and go to the buy station. Keep buying armor plates, each plate gives weapon and player XP. For example, I did this with a Basilisk I found. Got it from level 7 to level 24 in 1 match. Make sure you pop a weapon xp token to get good levels.
I like how u have the little edited box in the top right that says CHALLENGE , then under it listing what the challenge is, adding the MWII logo to the right of it so we know what game we're watching, and finally showing gameplay of said challenge. It is also following the same template as when it pops up that someone has went on a streak or called in a kill streak; having the green line on the bottom and the logo reflecting what the action was Liek if you agre
The way I’ve been doing the grind is by weapon body type and as you finish the bodies it feels like you had substantial progression in multiple categories

Unlocking platinum launchers wasn't half bad. I was able to do it in a single day by just destroying UAVs and counter UAVs. I swear some of those people pop off 30 UAVs in a single match.
My issue with mount kills (besides feeling like a jerk just mounting all game) is that there aren't as many mount spots on the maps as the last game I think, so when you do it, it's always in an obvious spot and you die a lot. There are also a lot of spots that will make you aim into walls or floors which is annoying
I used to hate this one too (mw19 was the worst for this) as it really promotes an ugly play style. I bash through mounted kills so quickly now in shipment. Every time you run around a corner, mount up on it. Basically any container on the edge of their spawn.

Idk if this will be seen but I been using hardpoint as my xp grinder and it has helped me absolutely blow thru weapon leveling, I get about 2-3 minutes on the point with 15-25 kills and have gotten anywhere from 9-12k xp for my rank and 6-8k xp for my weapon, and Double XP tokens, you can only imagine how much
@@fwstace any minor region between 2-6am. It's inconsistent but at least on MP if it's a sweat lobby I just backout and roll to next. Mostly pretty easy ones. I'll rotate through NZ, Kazakhstan, India, Kenya, Nigera depending on time of day
Nothing worse having a pistol, doing the 3kills in a row challenge, you’re on 2 kills and someone bunny hops around a corner, you land 3 bullets and they one shot you with a shotty.

I enjoy the actual challenges. Mt dew double weopon xp tokens really helped as well haha.. I bought like 10 twelve packs of Mt dew..good thing I actually enjoy drinking Mt dew, I should be good for a few months now lol.

The best thing about the update is that thanks to the M13, MPX, L115 and Honey Badger, you can unlock platinum on those weapons and totally skip the Launcher grind lol. Once Season 2 drops Melee weapons are going to die too 💀
Thanks for this comprehensive guide. I wished there was a better way to track all your camo progression without going into the camos options each and every time after a match. Not sure why, but i have all the gold smg challenges done and it still says i need to do gold camo challenges for smgs.
It's actually much better to do the easier categories first. If you leave the launchers and melee weapons long enough, there's probably going to be enough newly added dlc ARs/SMGs/LMGs to skip those frustrating categories entirely and still get Orion and polyatomic. Unless you want poly/Orion knife and riot shield.. that being said, it all depends on your current progress in the grind. If you're still doing weapon levelling, I'd suggest doing just this
If you don’t mind waiting a while to get platinum, jumping from gun to gun, regardless of category is a good way to keep the grind fresh if you can’t stick to a category for long like me.
I’ve found it far easier to get point blank kills on ground war. When someone pops UAV you can find the campers sniping in windows or on top of buildings. In regular multiplayer people move around to much and is difficult to get real close.
First i unlocked every weapon. Then maxed out every weapon. Then completed all base camo challenges. Then got gold on all weapons. Then got platinum on all weapons. Im currently on Polyatomic. Oh and the only weapons i haven't used or leveled up are the launchers and shield.
They're making the next weapon in the M13B family, and it's another SMG/AR. Doesn't matter which one, tbh, it's just one more gun that isn't a launcher, lmao. It's called the chimera, and it's supposed to be the Honeybadger from ghosts
You can fly through camos faster than you think, I've finished gold for all ar's smg's and launchers in about 2 weekends. I also have some marksman gold and an lmg gold. We all got this. Just keep working of it

I my opinion I find melees being pretty easy specially now that u don’t have to use the riot shield because of the katanas and u just need to play shipment it was a pretty relaxing gold camp grind
I find when going for the 3kills (gold camo) it helps to run quick fix, stims, overkill with riot shield on your back and cold blooded (to stop streaks killing you) All this paired together will keep you alive as long as possible.
If you don’t expect yourself to have the time to finish the grind by the end of the year, save yourself some time and wait for shipment for certain challenges like point blanks, melee, shotguns, launchers, etc
Hope no one listened to this guy cause you could have had more completed before shipment came out and saved yourself some time. He gave bad advice and I recommend that no one follow that. You didn't save yourself any time by putting it off. All the same time has passed since he posted this comment. I hope everyone had enough sense to not read this comment and actually think to themselves "I'm going to save myself some time and wait for shipment instead of having some more complete and have even less to complete when shipment comes out"

I didn’t put any time off I just saved the close range guns for shipment… get a job and get married come talk to me. I had AR’s and SMG’s done before shipment came out and I didn’t want to waste time using shotguns or the riot shield on bigger maps. Waiting for shipment was the play for me
I'm having so much trouble getting long shot kills. Got all the weapons to gold. All marksman riffles are platinum but just seems like I cannot get a long shot. Maybe 1- 2 long shots each match.

Because it is fairly easy apart from launcher double kills but that will be easy on shipment. It is just time consuming, time consuming does not equal hard.
@@sizzles6006 100% tier 1 hardpoint, get recoil and range attachments and a vlk or the rangefinder sight. You do want to dodge the bad maps tho. Just camp lanes for longshots. Smgs are 30 meters, did all of mine in less than 2 hours
I would recommend just doing platinum launchers (it’s really not that bad) and then you only have to get one of them poly besides they are great for getting rid of uav spam making them mini ghost perks lol
DMZ and warzone have to be the best ways to level up weapons. You can do safecracker challenges and use all your money to buy armor plates at buy stations. This gives you a ton of xp from the armor plates. You can easily get a weapon from level 1 to max within one or two matches. I’ve done it myself countless times
I just started but I wanted to post this one correction before I forget. Platinum requires a set number of completed gold challenges in each class. It does not technically require every weapon of a class.
Where you talked about orders to complete weapons, actually since I level up 49 guns and rio shield with knife to max, I made myself a 5 loadouts adding AR with Battle rifles, SMG's and shotguns, marksman & snipers, LMG's and pistols and shield with knife, it's much easier to do camo challenges by order of gun type
Problem: as of the time i am writing this, DLC guns do NOT work when unlocking the Platinum challenge (Found Via Victus XMR completion, still required the last base sniper.) Side note: If this isn't a bug and is indeed intentional, then it may be you can't circumvent any of the base weapons when unlocking camos. You will be forced to get Gold on all the base weapons before you can unlock the other mastery challenges.
The platinum camo count for the dlc weapons yes but it doesn’t count towards polyatomic i think but this should be a bug and i hope it will be fixed soon
I just finished my last weapon today. I have all max level and all 4 camo challenges done on each weapon. Now I’m gonna go 1 by 1 and complete gold on each. Thanks for letting me know I could get the 2 DLC weapons, I’ll be using them instead of 2 launchers.

i swear they know exactly the second you start working on your 3 kill challenges and just immediately rocket you into the top .1% matchmaking, literally every gun ive ever worked on became significantly harder the game after i unlocked the gold challenge
These double kills with the victus xmr are driving me nuts. Even on shoothouse. The bolt is slow that that by the time you chamber a new round, if you pretty much don't have someone else in your sights, you're not getting the double kill. Plus with how slow this thing is and everyone else it seems is running smgs and cdl skins is just making me crazy. I finished the 3 kills without dying with the riot shield and knife in 3 games weeks ago before shoothouse was even here but this victus is just killing me lol
Everyone says the new camo grind is quicker. I would agree that the camo CHALLENGES are quicker; however you also gotta factor in leveling the weapons up, the slower paced gameplay, and completing gold/platinum for all the weapons in a weapon class. I won’t lie I prefer the old camo system cause I grinded out Damascus in a week. This is taking me much longer. Just my humble opinion.
i’ve gotten all my guns gold for primary except for snipers. that’s what i’m on rn but i am skiing melee weapons (2) and skipping (2) launchers. since you only need to complete 51 camo challenges out of the 55 camo challenges in the game , next is my pistols and two launchers to get gold.
Also quad feeds and large kill streaks don’t count as multiple double kills wait for the double kill medal to show up and leave before going for another

@@Amethyst_47 alot of people keep saying this but as of season one this isn't true. There are 4 launchers and only 3 dlc weapons meaning even if you did all of them you would have to get atleast one launcher plat which by default you have to get all the launchers gold just to unlock the plat challenge in the first place. So as it is now the best you can do is skip the plat challenges on 3 launchers but you would still need to get them gold

Welp, shipment is coming soon and if you're patient enough we will get the honey badger AR so you can get that weapon gold and platinum and you'll skip the whole launchers catagory (that if you got the M13B of course).

I completed battle rifles and smg longshots on shoothouse. It's not hard. There's over 6 longshot locations on the map.

Something fun and quick to do
Drop in Warzone and drop at a gas station, loot it. You should have around 5-6 thousand dollars.
Pick up a gun (hopefully one you need to get leveled up) and go to the buy station.
Keep buying armor plates, each plate gives weapon and player XP.
For example, I did this with a Basilisk I found. Got it from level 7 to level 24 in 1 match. Make sure you pop a weapon xp token to get good levels.
This! Also Plunder is also a good way to get xp on youy weapons
I like how u have the little edited box in the top right that says CHALLENGE , then under it listing what the challenge is, adding the MWII logo to the right of it so we know what game we're watching, and finally showing gameplay of said challenge. It is also following the same template as when it pops up that someone has went on a streak or called in a kill streak; having the green line on the bottom and the logo reflecting what the action was

Unlocking platinum launchers wasn't half bad. I was able to do it in a single day by just destroying UAVs and counter UAVs. I swear some of those people pop off 30 UAVs in a single match.
When I’m grinding pistols I use scorestreaks instead of kill streaks. I literally have UAV/ counter UAV half the game.

My issue with mount kills (besides feeling like a jerk just mounting all game) is that there aren't as many mount spots on the maps as the last game I think, so when you do it, it's always in an obvious spot and you die a lot. There are also a lot of spots that will make you aim into walls or floors which is annoying
Portable cover and bipods are helpful. Also uavs are crucial to know where to mount and wait for people.

I used to hate this one too (mw19 was the worst for this) as it really promotes an ugly play style.
I bash through mounted kills so quickly now in shipment. Every time you run around a corner, mount up on it. Basically any container on the edge of their spawn.

Idk if this will be seen but I been using hardpoint as my xp grinder and it has helped me absolutely blow thru weapon leveling, I get about 2-3 minutes on the point with 15-25 kills and have gotten anywhere from 9-12k xp for my rank and 6-8k xp for my weapon, and Double XP tokens, you can only imagine how much

Nothing worse having a pistol, doing the 3kills in a row challenge, you’re on 2 kills and someone bunny hops around a corner, you land 3 bullets and they one shot you with a shotty.

I think leveling up weopons is the worst part.. I enjoy the actual challenges. Mt dew double weopon xp tokens really helped as well haha.. I bought like 10 twelve packs of Mt dew..good thing I actually enjoy drinking Mt dew, I should be good for a few months now lol.

I've got a tip for the 3 kill streek cus I was struggling so just forget that you are after the 3 kills just play the pressure won't affect u so just black it out ur mind and just play and u should get it now that I do that I can get 6-10 per game
The best thing about the update is that thanks to the M13, MPX, L115 and Honey Badger, you can unlock platinum on those weapons and totally skip the Launcher grind lol.

Thanks for this comprehensive guide. I wished there was a better way to track all your camo progression without going into the camos options each and every time after a match. Not sure why, but i have all the gold smg challenges done and it still says i need to do gold camo challenges for smgs.

It's actually much better to do the easier categories first. If you leave the launchers and melee weapons long enough, there's probably going to be enough newly added dlc ARs/SMGs/LMGs to skip those frustrating categories entirely and still get Orion and polyatomic. Unless you want poly/Orion knife and riot shield.. that being said, it all depends on your current progress in the grind. If you're still doing weapon levelling, I'd suggest doing just this
If you don’t mind waiting a while to get platinum, jumping from gun to gun, regardless of category is a good way to keep the grind fresh if you can’t stick to a category for long like me.

I’ve found it far easier to get point blank kills on ground war. When someone pops UAV you can find the campers sniping in windows or on top of buildings. In regular multiplayer people move around to much and is difficult to get real close.
i actually just toss a stun grenade. they can’t move and i run right into them

First i unlocked every weapon. Then maxed out every weapon. Then completed all base camo challenges. Then got gold on all weapons. Then got platinum on all weapons. Im currently on Polyatomic.
Oh and the only weapons i haven't used or leveled up are the launchers and shield.
The fact that with the m13b,bas p and new sniper I need to just wait for another seasonal gun to skip Launchers entirely has just made my day

You can fly through camos faster than you think, I've finished gold for all ar's smg's and launchers in about 2 weekends. I also have some marksman gold and an lmg gold. We all got this. Just keep working of it

I my opinion I find melees being pretty easy specially now that u don’t have to use the riot shield because of the katanas and u just need to play shipment it was a pretty relaxing gold camp grind

I find when going for the 3kills (gold camo) it helps to run quick fix, stims, overkill with riot shield on your back and cold blooded (to stop streaks killing you)
All this paired together will keep you alive as long as possible.
If you don’t expect yourself to have the time to finish the grind by the end of the year, save yourself some time and wait for shipment for certain challenges like point blanks, melee, shotguns, launchers, etc

I didn’t put any time off I just saved the close range guns for shipment… get a job and get married come talk to me. I had AR’s and SMG’s done before shipment came out and I didn’t want to waste time using shotguns or the riot shield on bigger maps. Waiting for shipment was the play for me

Because it is fairly easy apart from launcher double kills but that will be easy on shipment. It is just time consuming, time consuming does not equal hard.

@@sizzles6006 100% tier 1 hardpoint, get recoil and range attachments and a vlk or the rangefinder sight. You do want to dodge the bad maps tho. Just camp lanes for longshots. Smgs are 30 meters, did all of mine in less than 2 hours

I would recommend just doing platinum launchers (it’s really not that bad) and then you only have to get one of them poly besides they are great for getting rid of uav spam making them mini ghost perks lol
DMZ and warzone have to be the best ways to level up weapons. You can do safecracker challenges and use all your money to buy armor plates at buy stations. This gives you a ton of xp from the armor plates. You can easily get a weapon from level 1 to max within one or two matches. I’ve done it myself countless times
going to try this later tonight! Just need to level the pistols now.

I just started but I wanted to post this one correction before I forget.
Platinum requires a set number of completed gold challenges in each class. It does not technically require every weapon of a class.
Just waiting for the Chimera and I’ll be done. The shield and knife had to be the most fun I’ve had
careful skipping your weapon classes. once you get orion, you cant just plop it on any weapon, just weapons you have gold, plat, and poly on.

Another tip with xp contracts give an insane amount of xp in warzone
Where you talked about orders to complete weapons, actually since I level up 49 guns and rio shield with knife to max, I made myself a 5 loadouts adding AR with Battle rifles, SMG's and shotguns, marksman & snipers, LMG's and pistols and shield with knife, it's much easier to do camo challenges by order of gun type

Problem: as of the time i am writing this, DLC guns do NOT work when unlocking the Platinum challenge (Found Via Victus XMR completion, still required the last base sniper.)
Side note: If this isn't a bug and is indeed intentional, then it may be you can't circumvent any of the base weapons when unlocking camos. You will be forced to get Gold on all the base weapons before you can unlock the other mastery challenges.

The platinum camo count for the dlc weapons yes but it doesn’t count towards polyatomic i think but this should be a bug and i hope it will be fixed soon
I just finished my last weapon today. I have all max level and all 4 camo challenges done on each weapon. Now I’m gonna go 1 by 1 and complete gold on each. Thanks for letting me know I could get the 2 DLC weapons, I’ll be using them instead of 2 launchers.
I don’t think it works that way, you have to commit to all four I believe, because you still have to get all 4 lanchers gold, to do platinum on 2

These double kills with the victus xmr are driving me nuts. Even on shoothouse. The bolt is slow that that by the time you chamber a new round, if you pretty much don't have someone else in your sights, you're not getting the double kill. Plus with how slow this thing is and everyone else it seems is running smgs and cdl skins is just making me crazy. I finished the 3 kills without dying with the riot shield and knife in 3 games weeks ago before shoothouse was even here but this victus is just killing me lol
Everyone says the new camo grind is quicker. I would agree that the camo CHALLENGES are quicker; however you also gotta factor in leveling the weapons up, the slower paced gameplay, and completing gold/platinum for all the weapons in a weapon class. I won’t lie I prefer the old camo system cause I grinded out Damascus in a week. This is taking me much longer. Just my humble opinion.
If you are going for Melee or launcher camos then I would recommend tanking your kd
i’ve gotten all my guns gold for primary except for snipers. that’s what i’m on rn but i am skiing melee weapons (2) and skipping (2) launchers. since you only need to complete 51 camo challenges out of the 55 camo challenges in the game , next is my pistols and two launchers to get gold.
and i’ve done all this after christmas thru up to date.

There are 4 launchers and only 3 dlc weapons meaning even if you did all of them you would have to get atleast one launcher plat which by default you have to get all the launchers gold just to unlock the plat challenge in the first place. So as it is now the best you can do is skip the plat challenges on 3 launchers but you would still need to get them gold
@@TotallySeriousJeff Yes i just thought about it, you'll still need another weapon for the plat if we took the DLC weapons route. Welp, shipment is coming soon and if you're patient enough we will get the honey badger AR so you can get that weapon gold and platinum and you'll skip the whole launchers catagory (that if you got the M13B of course).
