What I love about you is the fact you are a realist. You show exactly what it is like being a working mum of two jobs. You showed the morning stress and time management, Where outwardly you are the calm Mum but your brain is counting every second and able to make a great judgement call of swapping toast for a banana (rather than getting stressed George was taking too long to eat). You see solutions and that is something you can share to and inspire your followers. What I also love about your channel is you show and voice your emotions both happy and sad and take all of us along on your journey like we are your mates. You deserve a million subs.
Don't worry! Day 1 is just a practice run! You'll get in your routine in a few days. Give yourself a break! You're starting back at work, bringing George to childminder AND filming a video! You're doing an excellent job in my eyes! 👏👏👏
I just found your channel, and wanted to send you a massive thank you. I've been a stay at home mum for almost six years and I'm in the process of trying to get back in to work. I've had a lot of mum guilt and anxiety about how I was going to balance working with being a good mum, and your videos have helped me feel more confident and capable, so thank you. X
Oh my goodness, I’ll be doing this next May! I can’t even contemplate how hard this will be! Thank you for sharing, nice to know how other Mamas deal with it. Enjoy the next chapter with George 🥰
I know how you feel I’m back to work in a few weeks and I’ve been doing some full kit days and I feel so sad that mason is either having fun with his nan and not me or feel guilty leaving him at nursery. You’re smashing it! X
I'm going back to work on Monday, the same day little boy turns 5 months old 😬. He is going to be at nursery 3 days a week, with his grandparents for one day and then at home with us on Fridays as my husband only works a half day. You give me hope I'll be okay with it all!! I know little ones going to really enjoy himself at least 😂 xxx
I am on week 6 being back at work, not going to lie I have ups and downs! Like George my little girl loves nursery, to the point where she doesn’t want to come home with me🙈 and that tugs on my heart a little bit! X
I am starting to work on Monday. I feel you. Even thought I will be working nights and my partner days, just leaving my baby at home and going to work it's hard to think about it.
I just found your channel & I’m here in the US (Minnesota) I have a 2 month old girl. I’ve been watching your every month milestones vids! Thank you so much for sharing these it is SO helpful! Love your channel lady 😊
How did George adjust to going to the childminders at first? My LO has started but so far it’s not been great. Hysterically crying every-time I leave her. I’m hoping it gets easier as I can’t afford not to work ☹️
@@HomeWithShan my husband is a civil servant and gets 6 months full pay pat leave, where as I get statuary 6 weeks. 😭 His last civil servant job he would have got 10 months pay leave. Love that the civil service offer that for both mums and dads. We both are able to work from home though forever now, so it’s one ‘silver lining’ of the pandemic.
Do they not have chest clips for your car seats? That doesn't look safe. No judgement, just wondering because ours have them in the US. You will do amazing 😉
European car seats don't have chest clips so then the child can be removed from the carseat easily in an emergency. Its more of a US thing to have the chest clips.

I wish my baby slept till 7:30. Mines awake at 5:15 like clockwork 😩

It will get easier in time and become your new normal, it is hard though the guilt is real! x
What industry do you work in? The first day is always difficult, you’ll find your new normal/settle into a routine really soon, I’m sure!

My dad was also army for 24 years so I totally get what you mean about magnolia popcorn walls. I still don’t get why they insist. 🤢🙄
Hes so cute!!
Hi Shan, where’s your top from? its so pretty! 🙂

I’m not sure what chest clips are xx

In the u.k and Europe car seats don’t have them as they are seen as dangerous here.
