    This is a really smart and tidy set up
    Like the space at the back to change your set up from tradie to play is real eye opener

    Hey Trent, this is the first time I've seen the midi ext and I have to say I like it a lot. I've been looking at the 200 series extensions for some time but I just didn't like the silly little cubby hole box where the wheel-well use to be......turned me off. But yours looks great. Is your canopy removable or permanently fixed? I'd like a removable one so I have use of the tray when not touring. Looking forward to the next vid.

      Hey Jack. My canopy was designed to be removable, but I have it permanently installed.
      Appreciate the support. Hopefully the borders stay open so we can get out and use it now 👍

    Great Job on the build, i was at ASG 2 weeks ago and saw a Midi being built which i am very keen on getting, What GVM did you get??? and what did it end up with in regards to Tare wt ??I like the canopy did you get that done back home? Everyone seems to want to go to Norweld.

    • @gritmanual
      @gritmanual  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Rick, My MIDI has a 4200GVM. This required wheels & tyres but no diff strengthening. I weighed in the other day at around 3680kg (tank wasn't full but I did have tools and gear in the canopy). My Canopy is the ASG4x4 premium canopy. Norweld are popular, but they don't offer a canopy for the MIDI. Cheers Trent

    What suspension does Asg allow you to run to suit the 4200gvm? Have organised a midi chop for mine and was curious as to if I could do a Robinson/kings racing setup or if my options are limited due to the gvm?

    • @gritmanual
      @gritmanual  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Deb. You’d be best talking with boys at ASG as to what other options are available.

    Mate, bloody looking fantastic. Love it. Sleek yet aggressive. Perfect balance! 💪🏼👍🏼
    Have you noticed any dramas with flex in the bonnet? I’ve been trying to get ASG to manufacture one for my 200, but they seem to not producing them anymore, due to this issue. At least until they come up with a solution… your thoughts bud?

    • @gritmanual
      @gritmanual  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Brett 👍 I haven’t noticed anything with the bonnet or had any dramas and we’ve just got back from a trip that had a heap of corrugated roads.
      Only issue I found with having the scoop was not being able to cover it when we were going through a heap of grass hoppers - just meant had to clean the intercooler more regularly.

    Vinyl floor👌🏻 should be an option from factory I reckon

    • @gritmanual
      @gritmanual  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. Our last one was a GX model and it came standard with it. After having the vinyl floor there was no way I wanted carpet again. I have to say though, I think the aftermarket one in the new build is actually going to last better than the factory one. Seems to be a thicker material.

      @@gritmanual who did the vinyl flooring if you dont mind? and how much it set you back?

    2 questions,
    1,Have you got front recovery points???
    2, as you said the "2nd row" air con controls and everything are still in place. do they still function as per factory after the chop despite part of the system missing???

    • @gritmanual
      @gritmanual  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ben. The bullbar has the recovery points incorporated in it.
      Controls and roof ducts/outlets are still as per factory, but the unit is removed as a part of the chop so no rear aircon. Front A/C still more than covers the cab.

    • @gritmanual

  • @IsmailAlansari

    Why do you have a custom difflock? Do you guys get these options in Aus?

    • @gritmanual
      @gritmanual  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ismail. My model didn’t come with factory lockers. After market we have the option of air or electric lockers. I went with the Eaton E-Locker 👍
