Can this doorbell camera be used as a stand alone much like a nanny cam? My main concern is knowing who is ringing the bell in the middle of the night, but I thought a doorbell camera may give me a better result, either dissuade them from ringing the bell or having proof of who the peace disturber is.
Yes, it can operate as it is - it does not require a hub or connector unit. It just connects to your WIFI and you can view it from anywhere you have signal with your mobile device. With the SD card inserted - you can store the videos as well and view them later as recordings.
I have the J9 with the wireless chime. The chimedoes not work. The red light and blue lights do not activate. Yes I inserted the batteries properly. I followed the instruction manual. Am I missing something or is this a scam?
Have you tried resetting the Doorbell to factory reset and also removing the batteries from the chime, leaving it for a bit and then adding them back when pairing?
Hi i have bought this canera mithout knwing i have ordered without chime so can i pair this wirh alaxa instead of chime and still get the ring when someone ring the i get from alexa
J9 doesn't support Alexa feature, only J10, J10Plus supports this feature. I am sure you can look at getting the Chime as a accessory. They do have accessories for this Camera.
May I ask if you purchased the standalone J9, if so, this one does not come with wireless chime; while the one reviewed inside the video is the J9 set version with wireless chime. Meanwhile, the J9 does not support the Alexa feature, only the J10 and J10Plus support it

You need to go into the app and turn on the chime in the settings for it to pair. I had the same issue.
