I'm from Cape Town originally (my wife and child are dual Austrian citizens) and we're now living in Kärnten where my wife's family comes from. I've hunted my whole life in SA and I'm planning a trip there next year for another hunt. I'm lucky to have very good hunting and taxidermy contacts there (and I've personally gone through the trophy exporting process when I shipped all my trophies to Austria). If you are considering a safari there at some point then lets get in contact!
Again, it makes me really happy when I see that follower love what I make. Africa was also my favorite place to hunt - I was in Zimbabwe!! Carinthia is also a great place to hunt - but you must be lucky to get in touch with someone who allows you to hunt there. Thank you for your offer, we will stay in contact, as my friends told me yesterday during a bow hunt in hungary, that they would love to go to SA with the family but also hunt there. I like to hunt in open area, fenced are were you hunt on the waterwhole from a tree stand destroys the Africa feeling which I experienced in Zimbabwe during 10 hours of walk for an Eland eg. But if there is a possibility in the area of the borders in the north or somewere else, were we can hunt as it should be, then I am interested the next years. @@Woodwalker Das mit dem Englisch war natürlich mit einem lächelnden Augenzwinkern, denn so ging's mir auch, alles gut 🤣 Ja ich war eine Woche vor Ort, 6 Jagdtage 2 Hirsche, 1 Sika und ein Tag Vogeljagd... Ich war äußerst zufrieden. Dein Hirsch ist denk ich ein sog. Switch Hirsch und einen ähnlichen hab ich auch erlegt. Auf alle Fälle schätze ich ihn aus der Ferne auf 10+ Jahre... Meine Hirsche waren 10 & 13 lt. Stalker und das war auch das was mir sehr gefallen hat, diese Nachhaltigkeit bei der Jagd und dass der Stalker wirklich reife Stücke auswählt. Wo warst du? Ich war in der Nähe von Kingussie. Perfekte Lage finde ich, Reviere in einer Entfernung von 5 - 60 Minuten mit dem Auto und eine ideale Auswahl für jeden Jagdgast von anspruchsvoll bis gemütlich...

Leider hat es auf den überalten Hirsch am Ende des Reviers nicht geklappt, dafür aber gab's in der letzten Minute am letzten Tag Weidmannsheil auf einen besonderen Hirsch! Wir waren an der Westküste in der Nähe von Oban, wie es genau hieß weiss ich leider nicht mehr, es war eine Einladung unseres Freundes, der alles organisiert hat. Als Dank hab ich seinen Range platt gefahren und seinen ganzen Freundeskreis für 1 Woche mehr als beschäftigt, unangenehm für uns, die Schotten haben es jedoch locker genommen, einfach tolle Menschen, es war herrlich! Lg und Weidmannsheil

I was lucky to hunt there once, as one of the family members gave me this opportunity as he was busy! I am very sorry for this answer as I will also propably not have the opportunity to return and hunt once again. But you never know. A hunting ageny from Austria called wildtradition offer good hunting in scotland, you may contact them! Best wishes
You have never been to Austria, Hungary or elsewere in middle Europe - there are ticks all over when you go into the woods??? Scotland was beautiful and it's people also ... and who cares about ticks, we just concentrated on the outstanding parts of our journey!!! Thank you for your comment anyway!
@Woodwalker sorry, I didn't mean it in any way as a derogatory comment. Some of the best people and scenery that I have seen. I am originally from Oz so you would think I wouldn't have a problem with critters that bite or sting- but I hate ticks more than anything.
