Thank you Janette! Yes the Lexus GX is a cousin of the Prado, it is a very reliable vehicle...5 years on the road and it is still in great condition despite being 17 years old...😉👍good choice!

This is great, love your videos! I'm contemplating a long road trip myself through tropical countries. So I'm curious how you cope with heat in the car in the evening/night, especially when it's also raining so you can't keep your windows open more than a few centimeters?
Hi Lars ! Well, first we don't use the air conditioning so our bodies cope better with the heat. We do have a couple of fans that help us with the air circulation and we can open the windows down to 10 cm. ( we have wind/rain covers on the upper sides of our doors if you look closely at our Toto') We tend to avoid the wrong seasons, we try to plan our route and time of the year in a certain country accordingly. We had of course some bad nights over the years, heat, mosquitoes, noises and much more, but luckily we have now enough experience to chose wisely our camp spots... and if we really cannot cope with the weather... there is always the option to check in at the nearest hostel. Hi Robert, we loved Laos, and we remember how good was your Beerlao, for us the best beer of all South East Asia. The bed inside our prado is 180cm x 120cm probably in the 105 you may get an extra 15/20 cm in width. Saying "to sleep comfortably" it wouldn't be appropriate, maybe 2 adults and a small child can be possible but for 3 adults i don't think so.For 1 or 2 nights can be ok, but not for example if at night is 35C temperature and humidity like is in Laos. Maybe consider an extra camp tent to place on the ground or maybe a rooftent for 3 people. All the best and good luck with the build!! Safe Travels 😊
Hi Damian, you need Mot if you drive in Uk, outside Europe is not necessarily needed, you just comply to the local laws. Upon our return to UK, we will do the MOT as soon as we disembark. Cheers

We just got started building our channel before hitting the road full-time in a couple years.
