How you know a really good singer, they sound even better live than in the studio (hi Sharon, Mezzo-Sopranos represent) Not sure Ive ever seen Liv Live, maybe one time with Leaves eyes opening for another band but I don't really go too much for their music so unless they start rolling out the ToT greatest hits setlists I generally pass. I was 11 years old when this album came out what are you going to do right? And not only that, I thought Aegis was even better, so it is hard to believe, but not so hard to believe, that there was apparently some controvery over it, as printed in the Aegis liner notes. Though, now giving them both a few more listens on said vinyl, I think perhaps this one has aged better, there are a few misses on Aegis but this is pretty much classic straight through. Well, we'll always have the vinyl, for some thousands of years anyway if you keep them out of the sun....
Yeah, "Velvet Darkness..." was tight. Aegis on the other hand was a typical transitional record: musically it was all over the placeand tho it had some great tunes it was pretty uneven.
Looks like a small venue so I would assume it was a local event in Norway. It was also the last stretch of Liv's stint in Leave's Eyes so maybe she was nostalgic for the good old times.
