I remember more than 20 years ago I found the Star Ocean 2nd story disc lying in a pile of CDs among many other cheaply discounted CDs in the corner of an electronic game store... At that time I was completely clueless about Star Ocean franchise, and I had never even heard about Tri Ace.... In the end... I reluctantly bought it. That was the best decision I've ever made. Now SO2 is one of the most memorable ... and definitely one of the best game I've ever played.
Huge fan of the game, bought the anime dvds off this sketchy website back in 2002, surprised they actually showed up...loved it, this and "hearts" have been living in my head since.

It's been over a decade and we only got about half the game story wise. The best we could hope for now is a competent reboot...

The anime ends with a cliffhanger before the Energy Nede arc. Just play the game it was based on if you want to know the continuation though.
