Paseo de Santiago is a historical park and promenade located in Iligan City, Philippines. It is a popular tourist destination that is known for its scenic beauty, lush greenery, and historical significance.
The park is named after the Spanish explorer, Santiago de la Cruz, who is credited with discovering the Iligan Bay in the 16th century.
Paseo de Santiago is a great place for sightseeing, walking, and relaxing. It features a long stretch of walkways, fountains, gardens, and monuments that commemorate the city’s cultural and historical heritage.
The park is home to several important monuments and structures, including the Rizal Park and the Iligan City Arch, which serve as a gateway to the city.
Paseo de Santiago is not only a great place for tourists, but it is also a venue for various events, concerts, and cultural festivals throughout the year. Some of the popular events held here include the Diyandi Festival, which is celebrated every September, and the City Fiesta, which is held in May.
The park is easily accessible by car, taxi, jeepney, or tricycle. It is located along Quezon Avenue, near the Iligan City Hall and the public market.
Paseo de Santiago is open daily from early morning until late at night, and entrance is P25 per person during day time, P30 per person during night time. It is a great place to spend a leisurely day or evening, taking in the sights and sounds of this beautiful and historic park.
