Wrong concept. Lithium ion battery required BMS circuit and this module give more trouble than sealed lead acid as it has no BMS. You can purchase good lithium ion cells but reliable BMS module is difficult to obtain. I have 3 lithium ion battery pack of cordless screwdriver all having BMS problem and facing difficult to get good BMS.

Please one request to you all please don't do this project let me tell you why:
1)laptop battery does not designed for high discharge rate they have a discharge rate of approx 8C but the starter required 20 to 25amp regular use of these cells will result in heating and also cells may get explode.
2)Lithium ion cells required a stable charging without any fluctuations but the charger in our bike does not have a regulated supply it gives approx 14v with AC fluctuations which will result in damage of battery and also it is possible that your bike may catch fire.
This is for all your safety friends..,
