Our system still needs to be fixed. Risking your life to race at the highest level and still having an entry fee. That’s like charging the Detroit Lions to get on their own field.
Maybe it's still so new but I look at the SMX championship just as an off season big money event just like the US Open but with 3 rounds. Being a Supercross or Motocross champion means more to me than the SMX champion. I wish it would have taken one supercross away instead and kept the 12 nationals
Regardless of the success or lack of it, the monetary commitment, schedule and rider interest in WSX was profound. It certainly pushed the 2 AMA series to take steps to compete.
We need a whole new sanctioning body. AMA doesn't do a damn thing for local tracks and now we pay 3 separate entities for the "AMA" title. We're paying AMA DNG and mxsports. We need ONE sanctioning body that actually gives a shit about the sport and not just how much it can milk it's customers.
@@stephenwilson1012 darn straight. Frickin money grab and has been like that for years. Ever since 1981 when they started Loretta Lynn’s. I’ve never been able to race an amateur national in my day, but have bet the best at local tracks. They made sure that only people with money can compete.
No because the riders still get paid shit.... the SMX is just a gimmick that no one cares about. Fans don't give a F about the SMX championship. We care about supercross and motocross, not a reactionary fake championship.

Davey Coombs owns the AMA.... the AMA doesn't mean anything anymore and it possesses zero value.
you know nascar owns sx and mx not AMA
@@donnieburger3721 yea.... DNG... kinda mentioned that
@@donnieburger3721 The coombs family purchased the ama... Davey and Jase talked about it. Have a nice day.

It is pretty embarrassing that the majority of the riders are some of lowest paid people involved a sx or mx event?
