The Vaccine Man reference goes deeper than I thought. I Thought he looked like Piccolo at first. His voice actor is Ryusei Nakao, who voices a purple virus with antenae in Anpanman.
Funfact S2 was kinda messed up by the animation studio. So Yusuke Murata who draws the manga actually went ahead and said F this i will do S3 myself and opend up a Animation studio.(He recently announced that he aquired the rights for the 3rd season of the anime).
Was going to say this too, I was shocked when I heard Yusuke opened his own studio bit now I'm excited, hopefully he doesn't overwork the animators. I also hope he got some of the animators from S1
5:58 One Punch Man sort of follows a "power by association" system, where just about any miscellaneous thing you could possibly do has the potential to give you powers of some sort, depending on how extreme it is. Crablante is one of the best examples of this, literally just ate a ton of crab and turned into one. Simple and straightforward power with a simple and straightforward means.
I've actually had a theory since s1 first came out that the real reason Saitama is so strong is because he's actually that same type of monster. We have a guy who ate crab so much he became a crab monster, a guy who pretended to box with a light pullcord so much he became a boxing monster, a guy who worked on cars so much he became a car monster, and a guy who trained to become a superhero so much that he became a superhero monster.
Glad you are watching One Punch Man. The uniqueness of this anime is that most Shonen anime main characters start off weak and then grow stronger. Here Saitama is the strongest from the beginning and must deal with his existential crisis.

First time I caught much of a twitch stream. Just missed the beginning. OPM is awesome. People were telling you season 2 isn’t as good, but don’t get discouraged. It’s still really good. Plenty to look forward to.
The first boy Saitama saves with an ugly face turns out to be an important person later on. This anime has part C after the ending song, so don't miss it.
One Punch Man and Mob Psycho are masterpieces of comedy anime!!!🤣❤ To be honest, the original author, Mr. ONE, is very bad at drawing. However, he is also a genius with unique ideas and a talent for creating the best stories.
Most Shonen are about the JOURNEY to greater and greater Power. This show starts LONG AFTER Saitama actually reached the logical conclusion of that journey. Its the exploration of the existential crisis living with something like that brings to a person, when NOTHING you do has meaning anymore. All disguised as an over the top Shonen Satire
One punch has a bad habit of playing fight scenes whilst the opening is going. As there are already 23episodes in this Playlist I'm sure you've noticed that.
Naw he just trained hard. Broke his limiter, and may or may not have actually been cursed by God to always be stronger than his opponent in some sort of sick joke.
You do this a lot, where you react (over react) to a scene that you take your eyes of the show for a couple of seconds and missing some important details
He didnt turn on cheat. OPM is parody of shouen genre. We all know MC will win in the end, OPM just skipped the pointless long training arc, random asspull powerup, fake struggles and dumbass villians who somehow killed everyone but the MC, long game pausing monologues etc
I can't watch this with the audio. Are you doing that just to be able to leave the whole video up? I'd rather have an edited reaction than watch the entire thing. In fact I usually think that's a waste because I've already seen it. I only need to see reactions to the highlights not every second of the show.

@LamirLakantry parodies don't have lore , storytelling, story path and they aren't serious perfect example of parody is isekai quartet , I see OPM as action comedy ,parody in short don't have consistent story line's and only there for laughs they don't have elements that are intriguing, or that makes you look for the next episode, they aren't hype in short ,like I don't watch konsuba out of hype but to just have laughs and OPM is not about that

The very plot is a parody of the plots of other anime. If you think OPM has a serious plot, then you're misunderstood the point. Just because it's done well and uses drama and action well, doesn't make it not a parody. In contrast, Konosuba is a comedy that leans into the cliches and tropes of anime. This isn't a bad thing. It just isn't parody. It's just comedy. Shrek was a parody of Disney movies despite having some troughing moments and being gripping at times, because it imitates the genera yet does it in an way that makes fun of the meta itself. Shawn of the Dead was a parody of Dawn of the Dead and zombie movies in general, yet it had tragic moments. A great example for this is Cabin in the Woods. That's a very dramatic and serious horror movie, but it's also a parody of the horror genera. A parody is usually a comedy as well, at least in part. But comedy is a wider category. Dumb & Dumber on the other hand is comedy without being a parody. Mr. Bean. Bullet Train. Anger Managements. Barbie Movie. All comedy without really being parody.
This is such a good anime. Season 1 was amazing but Season 2 not so good. It has some good moments but because its not the same quality as Season 1 it got panned badly. Personally I think it's OK like a 5/10. If you are aware Season 2 isn't as good, if you choose to watch it, it shouldn't seem as bad if you're expectations are lowered.

I also disliked season 2 when it came out, but it kinda grew on me. It could have been way worse (cough Berserk).
