Thank you so much for your thorough video. Your video, thus far, is the only video that shows the whole complete build. Other videos do not include drilling the hole or assembling each piece. You gave an excellent overview of the build, setup, and accessories your cabinet includes. Great job.

Thank you! I noticed the same thing when I did my search as well, so I wanted to show everything :)

I have no prospects of getting an IKEA cabinet but I couldn't click fast enough to watch this!
Why is the combination of stuff getting assembled + plants so satisfying? lol
Great job, Sarah! It looks awesome! Looking forward to the tour.

Thank you! I love watching assembly videos. Something about watching a project gives that “oddly satisfying” feeling. Almost as if I’m accomplishing it with them :)

I love love the cabinet 🥰, it's a beautiful way to display your plants while you give them the conditions they need. Definitely worth it, I need one of these in my house 😀. Awesome video, I love how you touched on every detail, super awesome. Enjoy it ❤🌱

It looks great. Thank you for sharing your set up and tips. I’ve had my cabinet for a few months now. Just an FYI, be careful with the top light only being held on with the tape. Mine held up for a couple months, then one day, it fell down and broke a whole bunch of new growth off of my plants 😕. I’ve got it held up with zip ties right now, but I think I’m going to try the super strong magnets that I saw on another TH-camr’s video. I can’t remember her name. Her channel is plants pots and what nots. Anyway, just thought I’d warn you, I wouldn’t want the same thing to happen to you 😊

Ah! Good suggestion. The light itself is light, but between the higher humidity and cord pulling it… I could see that happening

Your kitty is such a good helper LOL! So satisfying to see this all come together. I was cracking up at the upside down door…I have MANY time assembled something upside down and had to completely disassemble and redo it after I realized 😂 I love all the additions and amendments you did, especially the board and washers for hanging! And smart to spray with a clear coat, I need to do that with some of my plant stands. I really want to do something like this especially with adding grow lights to a cabinet. That double stick tape is really strong will need to check it out haha. Good call out to make sure you have enough room for the plug. Thanks for showing the whole process, it turned out so well! Great job 👏👏

It’s probably impossible for me to put together something without at least one thing being in the wrong place, upside down, or just flat out wrong. 😆 It all works out in the end. The grow lights are fantastic though, and not crazy expensive. I’m glad I have a few left over for my other plants.

I love the cabinet. I have two Detolf cabinets but I really want the Milsbo. It's on my Christmas wish list! 😏 By the way, LOVING the t-shirt!

The Detolfs are super nice, too! The shirt was a gift from my mom 🥰

I did not use any silicone tape. The hole between the door and the cabinet is what, less than 1/2 inch. I have a small fountain on the middle shelf. The humidity average is 65-70, 90 after watering.

Right, it’s a bit overkill. I’d say the center deal is way more important than the ones on the side.

Loved your detailed tutorial of this cabinet. I just got two milsbo cabinets myself. I bought a acrylic pegboard online so I am curious how to assemble that in. Did you drill a hole for a new screw to fit or were you able to use the screws that it came with or did you just purchase screws that fit. Please let me know what your pegboard screw situation was like, thank you! 😉

The Skadis I bought can use the screw holes already in the MILSBO cabinet. The Skadis came with the right screws for it. I just used those.
If you bought your own pegboard, I’d make sure the screws are the right size for the cabinet (I’m not sure what size they are) and around an inch long. Then use a washer if the head of the screw is small.

You mention sanding the hole you drilled out… I’m curious, has rust been an issue? I know with my Fabrikor I cut metal shelves and I heeded warnings to paint the cut ends to avoid rusting- I actually used silicone on my cut ends… so short question long…lol did it rust?

It hasn’t yet! Doesn’t mean it won’t. Sealing it is probably a good choice.

The base of the cabinet? That would be insane.

Awesome video! Will use this as a guide for mine. How long did it take you start to finish?

    • @SoiledPlant
      @SoiledPlant  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I took breaks for lunch. But I’d say start to finish, it would take about 2 hours or so
