It does show his intelligence being he can calculate his movements nearly perfectly though. It is also part of why he struggles to dodge an RPG-7 in his fight in the dark sense they fly at just under mach 1.

And it wouldn't be that fun for the entity if Wesker just instantly ended the match like this over and over.
