- The tariffs promised by U.S. President Donald Trump have been imposed on China while that on Canada & Mexico have been delayed for a month. China has retaliated to the 10% tariffs imposed on all tariff imports by U.S. by announcing 10-15% tariffs on several U.S. goods starting February 19. The Chinese Yuan has witnessed a decline after trading resumed post Lunar New Year Holidays. Most Asian currencies are down today vs Dollar despite a steep fall in Dollar Index overnight.
