- House on a Hill marks Amanda Lindsey’s second album with Bethel music, a sequel to her debut album Brave New World in 2015. Echoing Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God,” the album was birthed through discovering the gentle voice of God, leading us into His peace and joy that stays constant and confident, giving all of our minutes and moments a purpose. 8month ago I bought a house on a hill . My daughter visited me last week and said mom you need to listen to this song because this is you . I listen to this song and that song is not me this is what happened to me in every way and still does !!!! He is with me on this hill . My life is changing in the last 8 month and I can’t wait where it will go with God right in-front of me .Ironically this house was not our first choice but the same floor plan, the house we picked someone else put an offer faster in and got accepted.But that meant we got a house on a hill with a big oak tree in the back many perks the other house didn’t had. So it was meant to be🙏 God is so full of grace and mercy he loves us unconditionally he meet me on house on the hill in many ways no doubt he is very very real 🙏have faith 🙏he is your redeemer he is your savior , his son died on the cross for our sins . Beautiful. I rarely ever comment on videos, but I just wanted to point something out. Very few people understand the process that a person goes through in order for a song/album like this to be birthed. I do believe that the Holy Spirit inspires songwriters, but there's no oil without the crushing.
Amanda, you may never read this, but thank you for allowing yourself to be used by God. Your worship has impacted me so much over the years, more than I can explain with words. My parents got divorced about 6 years ago, around the same time that I came across you, Steffany and Bethel on TH-cam. I've been through some stuff since then. There was a spontaneous worship video that was released a while ago. You were singing against depression (you break - depression spontaneous). I sat down on my couch in the middle of the night and replayed it about 10 times in the darkness of my living room as I felt the Holy Spirit holding me close. Your new album is a testament of His faithfulness. I don't know your story and I've never been in your shoes, but all that you've been through was not in vain. I believe that God used you, Steffany and Bethel worship to save my life. From one worshippers to another, thank you. May the Great I Am continue to strengthen you and take you from glory to glory. Keep on keeping on.
If someone else is reading this, Jesus is not afraid of your brokenness. You don't have to be strong all the time. You don't have to hide. Invite Him into your heart and you'll see what I'm talking about. Even in my darkest moments, even in the midst of complete chaos He hasn't left my side.

Thank you for sharing this piece of your life with us. Each word that you typed, touched me so deeply. I like you and probably many others, needed this song. The Holy Spirit works through the her voice and music, to help put our broken pieces back together. I am so glad that God loves us so much! And that no matter what, He will always be right there with us in our darkest hours. Just hold to His unchanging hand, and He will always lift you from the depths of depression, anxiety, fear, sadness, anger, sickness, what ever you are going through ......... The Great " I Am " will be there! ♡♡♡

Imagine you’re hiking the hill, usually get tired when you’re at 2/3, somewhere closer to the end. Maybe you’re out of breathe now because you have been climbing non stop, maybe anxiety hits, maybe fear of height.. “Am I gonna make it?” “I’m scared, it seems like this is leading to nowhere.” “Am I lost?” “I’m tired, I wanna give up. Great, this is ONE WAY.” “Time is rushing, everyone is ahead.” “I must reach the top.”
But God is saying, “YOU DONT NEED TO REACH ME, I AM WHERE I AM.” He’s just like a wind, right where you are.
So, you can finally rest at 2/3 of hill, anxious no more. You watch everyone that walks pass you. You can smile at them to say hi, you’re not in a hurry.
God’s presence is the most important thing.

I feel like Amanda has gone through so much emotional battles and how the Lord has walked her through a lot of it. You can feel it through her music.
He spoke to me through this song- I had so many questions I needed answers to, I needed affirmation that He was with me through it all, I needed Him.. I needed HIM. He wants to introduce Himself to me? We've been apart for so long, my heart aches for Him although it doesn't seem like it on the surface.

I love when Amanda cook plays the piano! She is amazing! I get this weird feeling when I hear her play... I don't know why or what it is... I want to be like her when I play the piano! Recently someone prophesied over me... They said that when I play piano I would lead people to Jesus and I would be a light in the darkness. I am super thankful for that person! They helped me realize somethings about my life. I have only been playing piano for about a year but I really do love it! I am not that good but I love to play!

Such a cool abs unique parallel between the house on the hill and Jesus dying on a hill. It’s a story about her life experience at the time but it’s also prophesying the Father in Christ reconciling the world back to himself...on a hill. Building a house, etc..

I listened to this song again and listened to the words that opened my heart and made me feel a compassion and love that can only come from our Lord Jesus and then listened to the piano solo that felt like a hammer tearing down the walls around my heart and as the intensity of the piano played it felt like the hammer was working furiously trying to tear down that wall. Please do not think that your music does not make an impact on ones soul because as I finish my eyes swell with tears. Thank you.

I have been looking for this song for almost an hour now, I could only remember "Allow me to introduce myself" ... the Google search that came out shocked me because it was a famous popsong called "Sympathy for the Devil" by Rolling Stones...(of course he doesn't deserve any!l then I thought how we could easily fall for the devil and forget who God really is...
We have to stay awake guys!!!! And KNOW God. Know Him well... do not love the things of the world than Him. He is a loving God but also the one who judges everyone at the end. And all will face salvation or judgement because He is a God of justice. Not just love.

I went to summer intensive a couple weeks back for dance and one day, we separated into two groups for this song. One part of the song went to people who have trouble slowing down and want to distract themselves from their thoughts. THe other part was for people who prefer to just sit and think. It wasnt very good dancing, as we only had ten minutes to make something up, but still a great experience

@@bradyjacobs3878 Personally, I see the lyrics more as an letter with invitation. You know, it's a bit like Someone who is in love with you invites you so you can meet Him/Her. Especially when God says in the lyrics: I'll meet you in the house upon the hill" - it's future time, right? I started to see it that way when I translated lyrics into my language so I paid more attention to it.
