Mather Campground at the Grand Canyon: Tips and Recommendations for a Perfect Stay

Mather Campground at the Grand Canyon National Park is hands down one of my favorite campgrounds we have ever stayed at. my comprehensive camping guide has everything you need to know to make the most of your stay at Mather Campground.
As always, I cover the rules first, showcase the campground/site, and finish the video with my experience and other tips for your stay.
Basic information:
Mather Campground is located in Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. There are 327 sites. Each includes a campfire ring/cooking grate, picnic table, parking space and room for up to six people, three tents, and two vehicles. There are flush toilets and drinking water throughout the campground. No hookups are available, however there is a free dump station. Most RV spaces are pull-through. Pine loop is a tent-only area where generators are not permitted.

It has to be Mather haha. Since the campground paper didn’t include the full name, I googled it to find it was Stephen T. Mather - first director the National Park Service, envisioned that the states and the federal government needed to work together to develop a great national system of parks. Happy camping 🏕️
