Crisscross Side Braid Tutorial

Braiding Hack: Read Below⬇️⬇️
This is a great technique to practice for the client who wants a braid but has shorter hair or layers! This braid is super secure with no bobby pins in sight! 🙌🏼
Rather than pinning each section in place, I used an elastic to connect my sections to a small section of hair near the scalp that I use as an anchor to hold my larger section in place! Make sure as you go that this section is coming directly from the scalp, not from a previous ponytail, that way it holds tightly in place. Then you can tug on the ends of this small piece to pull your section tighter in the direction you want it to go!💯💯
Another big key to this style is your product choice! It’s important to have both grit (for texture and hold) and slip (for flexibility & softness) The two products I used to achieve that are:
