Can it be run in conventional transformer mode ?

It comes with a remote so you have to use the remote to run it. I havent tried it with a conventional transformer, don't want to blow it up.😂

How did you obtain the dummy unit, i just got the 4.5 Santa Fe but there is nothing noted about being able to order the non powered red SantaFe engine. Thanks Craig.

I got that back in February/March when they offered it. I was lucky to get it, because they sold a limited amount. Then when they sold the new 4.5 powered unit I jumped on it. So I had both. I've seen the non-powered unit for sale on Ebay.

I signed up for the newsletter from Menards, they usually drop on Tuesday. Then you have to act fast to get one. I got lucky, they only sell about 150 of these beta models.
