i love how accurate you always are even in your "first impressions", other youtubers just tell you generic stuff, i think you are the only one who does screen measurements :)
Don't worry about proof either. I will have the measurements from the AT&T model as well in video. The word is getting out as others who know display tech realize this too. You must use a colorimeter.
Very nice. 2 batteries? What class! I really like the customizations that are available. Some of those can't even be had in aftermarket roms. This phone really shines in the last quarter or so of the vid. I can't wait to see the full review.
Thanks. I actually just bought mine and discovered that today. It's even more conventient on this phone because the rear buttons are right next to each other. So I just press the two together with one finger. I love this phone so much already!!!!!
I'm really looking forward to this device! I played around with an Optimus G a while back and I was surprised how "complete" the device was, LG greatly improved about everything, compared to the old days! Gonna get this baby when it's available here in Germany!
I think the LG G2 is just amazing. It's so cool how much you can customize that phone. Android is always very customizable but LG version of android is crazy for the LG G2.
As always fantastic detailed and informative review. I appreciate your effort in the love of tech and I would like to see more of what the LG G2 can do. Thanks...
i like your videos , your one of the 2 people i know on you tube that actually take a bit of time and show us a detailed video , that covers everything we as viewer want to see, i would like to see a comparison between that and the xperia z1, if it is possible, for you to get your hands on a z1 with out paying £600 for , it
11min: It is a fairly large phone, so it makes sense to put a button for the notifications on the bottom. It keeps it one hand usable. Although it should have recent apps as an option as well
Given up? I don't think you realize how much time and effort that I put into all of this. It's not a magical quick process where I can upload something new every day. I try to upload twice a week.
Lots of people care! Especially those who are concerned about taking pictures! You need to see a proper representation of your subject or pffft. If you watch movies skin tones are met! If you simply don't like looking at Green and seeing it as neon... Oh you will care! But if you want punchy colors good for you. I'm simply here to Educate. Don't speak for everyone else though!
I'll solve 'this mystery' for you guys, as a Korean. Koreans, ever since the introduction of 2g phones in the late 90's, have been accustomed to an extra battery for their mobile phones so that they can charge it at a dock and change it when the main one runs out. It's more of an expected thing, that not just LG, Samsung, but most korean and foreign companies provide extra batteries/removeable version on their phones (except for apple, who we all know is bull-headed with their "apple ways")
Looks like a nice enough device. I really hope that LG has learned a thing or two about keeping support for older devices. I'm still skeptical about them after my experience with their old flagship Optimus 2X phone.
Wow! That mobile looks great! Personalisation and screen... Perfect! The tv antenna... OMG! Never new it lol. Thanks for the video: good, well done and funny as ever :D Waiting for the review ^^
People need to give LG another chance I understand they messed up with previous phone g2x but the newer phones like the Optimus G, nexus 4, optimus g pro and now the G2. LG has really stepped up their products.
Hey Erica, I think in the row of on-screen buttons, the shortcut to the notification bar is given so that we don't have to readjust our grip while opening the notification panel.
Yes i did but it makes little sense. LG is a business, and business is all about profit, so it would make more sense to release the better version of a product worldwide so it appeals to more people and will generate more profit. as far as image goes... people who like a microsd slot for extra space for music or whatever, though they like the performance of the G2 go with Samsung note 3 or Xperia z1 instead simply because it doesnt have a microsd slot
i dont see how people are saying this is a "copy" of an s3 or s4. the s3/s4 is more wider and rounder the g2 is wider but taller.samsung has its home button g2 has on screen buttons. the g2 has all its buttons on the back and samsung and everybody else has it on the sides. so the g2 is completly way diffrent than an s3 and s4.
Hey good video! Just wanted to tell you that all phones with a removable battery in korea comes with 2lucky batterys and a charger and the newer smartphones like gs4 and g2 and note 3 comes with what is called an LTE-A band which is really fast (I think you already know this lol)
Being the original Galaxy Note user I gotta say I'm leaning more towards this than the Note 3. Note 3 is a great phone but the more I see of the two the more I'm liking the G2 more.
This phone looks great! I wish American phones made it possible to pick up over the air antenna broadcasts. They are at the same resolution as most of the phones out there now in terms of programming being in HD and it should be an easy way to differentiate from competition. Someone should do it!
It was just a question because there's an unusual antenna on the phone that Erica said is actually common in Korean phones. Also, I think the expression is "you must live UNDER a rock". Just in case you want to use an outdated expression again, I want to make sure you use it correctly.
I like the idea of control buttons on the back; my S4 opposing side buttons are a pain, I.m for ever accidentally switching modes. Looks like an interesting device.
Love love ur reviews...and I just cant wait for the note 3 to get in ur hands...im sure u cant wait either :p. Also k really want to see an indepth review of the note 10.1 2014 edition...it looked really impressive
Some developer needs to come out with a universal app that will allow one to change gamma, contrast, and color or offer some accurate preset screen modes.
Most of the phones they receive are review units, and then they'll return it when they're done. On special occasions, they wind up buying the phones full price, and those are the ones you see lying around in their videos.
superb.perfect size with the most shocking design.if lg uses the samsung technology with screen and nokia tech.with speakers and recording,it would be the best.
Other countries get it! People want/need more storage! No, we don't want all our stuff stored in some cloud server, in who knows where server farm! Give us All MicroSD slots, and removable batteries! These are two main criteria that I go into any new device decision with.... Great review, and awesome phone!
I think its a good idea as well to do a outside glare test. Some phones are impossible to see even with the brightness is set to maximum. I would never figure out for the likes of me that why would a company develop a phone that you can't see the screen even outside with the sun out. Even with the sun not being directly shining on your phone its still hard to see with some phones.
Erica how come your using the Korean version anyway? i only ask as every other reviewer on-line has either an American network variant or the international/European version....your the first iv seen with the Korean model :)
Not really, I'm not a sammy fanboy but the only reason those 2 are better its because they were released later. Speaking of newly released the Note 3 is better than the Z1 and G2 but thats just my opinion.
I think the 64 bit route is an interesting choice but I'm waiting on real benchmarks that mean something. I am annoyed that it looks exactly the same with little effort to innovate with nothing but a finger print reader. They are thinking long term here. 64bit is marketing meant to catch attention for whatever they really have in store with their "forward thinking" and the colored things are great for the inept and teenagers.
maybe only a few americans care about those things, seeing as iPhone is so popular, I think I read once that Microsoft didn't enable Bluetooth data transfer on WP7 because (they think) no one uses them (in the US), then they notice that they do use them in Asia, so they enable it later.
i also want you to see review the lg optimus g pro its a pretty underrated phone and being better than the Gnote 2 its unfair that people pay low attention because it is an lg
This phone looks interesting! I really wonder how it will compare to the Z Ultra. It is definitely (In my opinion) a Galaxy S3/4 copy, especially with the shape of the phone. Like seriously, is it really that hard to come up with your own design?
Thanks for the reply. Darn, I would love to see something with deep blacks that isn't a SAMOLED display. I guess the bright light made it look better than it is. :P
Have you found the method for taking screenshots on this phone yet? Like for instance on most android phones if you squeeze power and volume down at the same time it does a screenshot. On touchwiz, it's power and hold home button for about 3 secs. I know there are apps, but they aren't always on, and are pretty glitchy. I need a key-based solution. I have to take screen shots for the orders I deliver at my job, and I'm getting this phone this week.
Korean models comes with external charger and a spare battery. Its normal nothing new. My 3 year old optimus lte counter part to your p930 had same stuff
I can't explain, why but you're the most trustwhorthy source when it comes to phone review.
Thank you, you're doing a great job.
i love how accurate you always are even in your "first impressions", other youtubers just tell you generic stuff, i think you are the only one who does screen measurements :)
Woot. I can't wait for the full review video. Your reviews are so much more detailed than the other reviewers.
I actually have the American version now. I will be using that for the full review and using this Korean one as a reference.
Looking forward to your next G2 reviews. I'm thinking of getting it but not before I watch your great in depth analysis. Keep up the great work!
Don't worry about proof either. I will have the measurements from the AT&T model as well in video. The word is getting out as others who know display tech realize this too. You must use a colorimeter.
It's got to be NFC. I will be getting the AT&T LTE version on Monday.
Love the fact that it comes with a spare battery and charger. SD slot, too. More companies should do this.
Very nice. 2 batteries? What class! I really like the customizations that are available. Some of those can't even be had in aftermarket roms. This phone really shines in the last quarter or so of the vid. I can't wait to see the full review.
Erica Griffin is the person to look 4 on youtube before making a decision on your next android smartphone! Ur AWESOME!!! Thanks :)
Great! So far we can conclude that LG has put a good effort into creating a unique device to say the least. Looking forward to hearing more. :-)
Thanks. I actually just bought mine and discovered that today. It's even more conventient on this phone because the rear buttons are right next to each other. So I just press the two together with one finger. I love this phone so much already!!!!!
Hello Erica, your reviews are great! especially that 3 fingers swipe feature is something that i wasn't aware of. thank you!
I'm really looking forward to this device! I played around with an Optimus G a while back and I was surprised how "complete" the device was, LG greatly improved about everything, compared to the old days! Gonna get this baby when it's available here in Germany!
The Z Ultra is still my daily driver. But we shall see if anything else knocks it out of place soon.
This is in ambient lighting. When lights are off the contrast ratio is about 1100:1. Pretty decent =) but not deep black either =P
No. I record audio at the same time with a boom stand and h2n mic.
oh for the World version and american version there will be a case that has wireless charging support for this phone from LG.
I think the LG G2 is just amazing. It's so cool how much you can customize that phone. Android is always very customizable but LG version of android is crazy for the LG G2.

Erika, you first impression videos are excellent. I'm waiting with baited breath.
I'll solve 'this mystery' for you guys, as a Korean.

This is an unboxing. Of course there will be more vids! =)
I will have the American version in a few days. That will be more than relevant =)
I will answer all of this in my review.
Wow! That mobile looks great! Personalisation and screen... Perfect! The tv antenna... OMG! Never new it lol. Thanks for the video: good, well done and funny as ever :D Waiting for the review ^^
Brilliant review as usual Erica!
This is my phone
Its the BEST highly recommend to all

Robert Roth Phones generally aren't built for films anyway, lol.
@@dammitthisishard Now they are and Icahnge the future....
LG G7 is fun watch even the G8 OLED display.
Mai Va Lee lol yeah times have definitely changed since I made that comment
It's a the overall presentation.
People need to give LG another chance I understand they messed up with previous phone g2x but the newer phones like the Optimus G, nexus 4, optimus g pro and now the G2. LG has really stepped up their products.

Erica. Thanks so much for your reviews. Real eye openers!
Any chance of doing any reviews on chinese Cellphones. They are coming to the US!
i dont see how people are saying this is a "copy" of an s3 or s4. the s3/s4 is more wider and rounder the g2 is wider but taller.samsung has its home button g2 has on screen buttons. the g2 has all its buttons on the back and samsung and everybody else has it on the sides. so the g2 is completly way diffrent than an s3 and s4.
Welcome Back!
I had the Nokia N9 (Meego OS) for a bit and it used the double tap to wake feature. It was great. Nice to see it on an Android phone.
Damn! That phone is very nice! Thanks for that video.
Hi Erica, what tools (apps or adb) do you use to take the CPU and GPU readings?
As always, great review :-)
Haha thanks for the review.... I was waiting for your opinion on this phone :D
Hey good video! Just wanted to tell you that all phones with a removable battery in korea comes with 2lucky batterys and a charger and the newer smartphones like gs4 and g2 and note 3 comes with what is called an LTE-A band which is really fast (I think you already know this lol)
that's why I have the GS4...they seem to be the only OEM these days providing us with a removable battery and most importantly, an SD card slot
Wow, for a display that isn't SAMOLED that certainly looks like some deep blacks!! I'm a fan!
awesome reviews erica!
You can have colour popping displays while having fairly accurate colours.
It was just a question because there's an unusual antenna on the phone that Erica said is actually common in Korean phones. Also, I think the expression is "you must live UNDER a rock". Just in case you want to use an outdated expression again, I want to make sure you use it correctly.

I really love your channel!
waiting for a comparison with the Galaxy S4.
regards from PT
Great into Erica! So much new information!
Wall-e looks so cool in the background at the start
Some developer needs to come out with a universal app that will allow one to change gamma, contrast, and color or offer some accurate preset screen modes.
Well done review and can't wait to see the gaming part on it ;-)
Erica!!, i always wondered what you do with the phones you buy after reviewing them. Do yo sell them? or you keep the ones you like?
Most of the phones they receive are review units, and then they'll return it when they're done. On special occasions, they wind up buying the phones full price, and those are the ones you see lying around in their videos.
***** You're welcome! If you re-watch the video, you'll hear that she has only one week with the phone.
Nokia had the tap to wake feature on the N9 a couple years ago, so this is not the first time someone thought of this feature.
I'm Korean and I really appreciate two batteries included for every phone. Shame that not all countries get that..
superb.perfect size with the most shocking design.if lg uses the samsung technology with screen and nokia tech.with speakers and recording,it would be the best.
Other countries get it! People want/need more storage! No, we don't want all our stuff stored in some cloud server, in who knows where server farm! Give us All MicroSD slots, and removable batteries! Holding my AT&T G2 right next to my AT&T Optimus G pro, The WHITES look terrible! The G Pro is BRIGHT White, While the G2 is Warm and redish
Only Erica would make a 16min unboxing video.
Thanks so much this was a good video as always... I hope to see more of this phone :)
i am in love with this phone ( and you)!
So should I go for the G2? I have a Optimus G at present and I really, really like it - is the G2 worth the upgrade? It looks very nice indeed ;-)
Great review as always note three is the way to go who cares that its big big is better
I'm glad you trust what I say. I tell the truth, not subjective drivel =)
I think its a good idea as well to do a outside glare test. Some phones are impossible to see even with the brightness is set to maximum. Extra battery and charger is standard when buying Korean phones. Its such a shame International versions don't come with such goodies :(
Continue pressing the update button until the battery is 0% . It will update for sure. Just be persistent !
I think the placement of those power buttons etc, is for tv mode, when held landscape in two hands.
100% correct my N9 broke earlier this year, great phone replaced it with a HTC one.
erica.love your videos, comentary and your looks.
I do...
Erica how come your using the Korean version anyway? i only ask as every other reviewer on-line has either an American network variant or the international/European version....your the first iv seen with the Korean model :)
Good reviews, fun and sharp :) Good job...
great of them to include extra battery & dock. is it wireless chargeable too?
Love your reviews

Great unboxing video. I loved it.
Looooove it!!! It looks fantastic and I find the three finger multitasking thing very useful:))
Ahhh...that phone pileup was so helpful!
maybe only a few americans care about those things, seeing as iPhone is so popular, I think I read once that Microsoft didn't enable Bluetooth data transfer on WP7 because (they think) no one uses them (in the US), then they notice that they do use them in Asia, so they enable it later.

All you had to say was you dont like lg. Lol im still getting it but I really do love your reviews
Should i buy this phone after my HTC one? How warm do it get when surfing or viewing youtube?
Thanks for the reply. Darn, I would love to see something with deep blacks that isn't a SAMOLED display. I guess the bright light made it look better than it is. :P
I want to get the Nexus 5 version, that phone will be based on the LG G2

heey erica Thank you for making good reviews, keep it up.
I've just ordered this phone for my upgrade, im a little scared now because of the 80's style Ariel
Wow, I wish mine came with all that. Especially the SD slot. Sucks that our version is so different.
I wish the D802 version had an option for MicroSD expansion
