I have the 10 inch version of this fan. Mine is 10 inches and single speed and my oscillator is under the motor and is basically a friction oscillator. I believe mine was restored as the paint is in real good shape and it runs like a champ...all in all not a bad $36 investment on my part if I do say so myself
I just scored one of these from the dumpster at my shop, took it apart, fixed it up, got it working, sweet fan. Turns out my dad (who never throws anything away) threw it in the dumpster, now that its working again he wants it back, what do you think.....should I give it back or keep it?

I have one of the same model and size that runs as quiet as it did when new. was never used until about 7 years ago. probably run less than 100 hrs.
