SPEARFISHING RED EMPEROR HEAVEN | SHELF TRIP GONE WRONG

An old trip from last year where we sent it out to the shelf in hopes of finding some prized pelagic fish. With a few hurdles in our way we decided to leave the continental shelf and head into some closer inshore reefs. To our advantage we stumbled across some more incredible ground that was littered with Red Emperors!

Nice haul mate. Can I ask what’s the best and worst winds for up that way? Got a big road trip planned for later this year and Lucinda is on the list, so any wind intel would be great. Cheers

Hey mate we get winds as strong as 30 kts up here. Generally I won’t go to the reef unless it’s under 10 knots, we do get plenty of days where it’s 0-5knots as well
