    God is glorified in His Saints. As my spiritual Fr. has reminded me on numerous occasions, the greatest miracle of all is a truly repentant life. May it be so for us all. ✝

    Humility finds humility. Let us, by your Grace, O Lord become ever more humble. Lord, be with me, I would be with Thee always. Amin

    Now that both Elder Aimilianos and Elder Ephraim are gone (from this world, of course) I'd like to know who are the saints alive.

    You know who are the saints the poor the homeless, the sex trafficked children, the abused, the mentally ill who put up with much abuse, the down and out people of everyday you may not know them, but they are around.
    I knew a man that carried at least 40 plastic bags on his back, and always refused food it it was offered to him,
    He said: "give it to God." He was very humble poor man and always blessed me when he saw men. His clothes are filthy he hasnt taken a shower who knows when and the bags look years old very dirty. He does NOT sleep on the
    grass. He sits on the sidewalk and sleeps that way with his bags all about himself. NOW THAT IS A SAINT!

      Hello. The deceased people before the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and the final resurrection, are in a conscious state: ,,By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child a when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore fromone man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude - innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, a embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they desire a better , that is, a heavenly country . Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.“ (Hebrews 11:11-16, Orthodox Study Bible).
      They died in faith but now they desire a better, heavenly country, i.e. they are in a conscious state now. That they desire a heavenly country does not mean that they are not in heaven now but that before their unification with their resurrected bodies at the Second Coming of of our Lord Jesus Christ, their bliss is not yet full.
      That they intercede for us when we pray to them to do so before God, does not mean that they are omnipresent and omnipotent but that they hear our prayers is due to the grace of the Holy Spirit because He abides with them even after they have passed away:,,And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.“ (John 14:16-17).

    Saints are healers, you don't find them in the church, only outside of it.

    • @dimitrispeiraias
      @dimitrispeiraias 5 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Saints are those who were healed and then healers! You could find them only in the Church which is the mystical body of Christ! Their power is their absolute Union with Jesus Christ the Son of God and therefore with His Almighty Father and His Glorious Holy Spirit!
      You wouldn't find them outside the Church, because nobody could ever join Christ outside of His mystical body! The Saints participate through their Union with Christ in the eternal Love and Grace of the Lifegiving Holy Trinity!

    • @dimitrispeiraias
      @dimitrispeiraias 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      You are also called to be a saint through joining Jesus Christ's mystical body where He feed us on His own Flesh and we quench our thirst for life with His precious Blood! You could never join Him out of His mystical body which is the Church !
      Of course as there is only one Lord so there is only one Church the Ancient one that was founded by Himself and keeps the Orthodox faith!

      For a start you could read the book "Welcome to the Orthodox Church". It is an enjoyable, easy-to-read book written by Frederica Mathewes-Green a past vice president of Feminists for Life of America!
