I love how you often pick up fabrics that I would have never picked out, and than somehow you make the most beautiful pieces and all the fabrics work perfectly!!
You do know we shop vicariously through you, don't you? You've made me very happy. Just so you know, seed beads were used in Greek and Roman Clothing. They got them through Egyptian and Mesopotamian trade. They were used on scarves and around the neckline, or for adornment in the hair and in jewelry, so your not in error.
+Penney Burgess I'm glad! I didn't know that! I know they used sequins ("small round metal discs") for embellishment but I wasn't aware small beads dated back that far - how cool!
I just love seeing you get exited over the fabric and your future projects! :D You can see how much you love what you're doing and how much passion you put in it!
I find you extraordinary. And you make me feel normal for my imagined garment projects once I'm in a good fabric store. The difference is that you know what you are doing and you actually get projects completed. I'll be watching.
Oh wow, your projects are beyond amazing. I enjoy watching your video and look forward to your next creation. I would love to visit the Garment District, it would be a fun adventure. I hope you had a wonderful birthday 😄
Love your fabrics... I was wondering why you haven't done TH-cam . Hope to see you soon...... Do you go shopping by yourself or do you go with your mom? So happy to see.
On the grecian inspired outfit, are you going to do a empire style top? If so, why don't you use the purple-y/ruby colored fabric as a band just below the bust line? I think it would be a lovely touch to the flowy chiffon :)
Hi! You have a great eye for color and your work is beautiful. I really enjoy your videos. I've been making costumes & beading for longer than I want to admit out loud. Lol I'm hoping you are aware the seed beads (especially the purple 2 tones do not last in sunlight. Please keep that in mind for storage of you costumes. Also, your crochette needle is to large for the size beads you chose, I'm guessing 11/0's. Because you love to sew, there are beaded ropes that are funner, prettier & easier (definitely stronger) plus faster to make. Please look at Jill Wiseman designs or PatomicBeadCompany on youtube, plus more I could message you if you are interested that I've learned a lot from over the years. I can't wait to see you make these projects & finished products! Have a great day! Keep them coming! ☺
+toodletube I actually asked her this on Tumblr once, Her response was that she keeps them. They store smaller than you would think because she often re uses under skirts for many projects so the dresses themselves are smaller. If you watch her video titled Sewing Room Tour and Organization she shows the places she keeps her projects as well!
those gold trims you bought would go really well with a grecian ensemble. of I'm not mistaken wealthy Athenean women wore belts with gold incorporated in them
You and I are opposites because I love crocheting and knitting and I hate beading. I avoid knitting or crochet patterns that require working beads into the project.
+lanifle1066 I actually really like knitting - but I never took to crocheting. I always found the process really frustrating (though I haven't attempted it in years) and never practiced enough to get past that point. Working beads into knit work is something i've never attempted, but that sounds annoying, so I don't blame you!
I love all your work!!!! could you make a video about how you do the beating and the sequins? I have a lot of troubles with that... greetings from Mexico!!! :)
Hey! I was wondering why you don't get some of your beeds from aliexpress, since they are so dirt cheap directly from china? Loved the haul, you have such great taste in fabric!
+irgendwelchedinge Thank you so much! The quality is hit or miss that way, i've found. Sometimes "glass" beads are plastic and the color is painted on instead of being incorporated in the mould, which can lead to the color fading/chipping off as you work with them. I do order some beads online when I need big quantities, but it isn't my first choice!
Do you currently have a look book or portfolio that we could look through and see all your awesome stuff? also, hows design school looking? Love your videos
+blackandblueskys Thank you! I do - It isn't super up-to-date but it's close angelaclayton.crevado.com/ :) Design school is looking a bit unlikely right now, i'm much more interested in interning and taking that route...but you never know!
HAHAHAHAHAHA 12 a yard for silk... I'd kill my mother to find silk that cheap :P In Australia it starts at around $25 a meter (about a yard) and is never on sale. Sigh :)

I'm curious, what do you do with all your completed projects? Do you store them or wear them for special occasions or sell them anywhere?
I'm also curious!

Hi again, your white feathers, you can tea die them to an ivory. I've done it before & they turned out great! Just an idea. 😊
I love your show. May I offer a correction? The correct pronunciation of shantung is shan-tongue. Hope you are not offended. Thank you.
Happy Birthday ! :)
