Hi! Thank you for sharing your journey! If you don't mind, has it been a long time since you met your professor for a referee letter? I was thinking of approaching my head lecturer, but it has been about 12 years since he last taught me :(
My pleasure! For reference letter you can ask for academic or professional reference letter. If you have graduated for more than 5 years, I think you can use professional reference for both. Please check on Chevening website for details :)

Thanks so much for the video! Did you apply for universities After or Before you were notified that you got the scholarship? When do you think is the right time through your experience?
Did you find any answer to your question? If yes then please make me aware, too, as I'm in the same dilemma!
I'd say the best thing to do is to apply for universities in parallel of your Chevening application. The process of Chevening Scholarship after submitting the online application takes around 6 months, and falls during the period when universities open their admission.
How to search about scholarships in the uk for lse, Oxford etc.
Hi there. Thank you so much for the video. I came across Chevening scholarship this summer and wanted to apply but then I realized I need at least two years of work experience. I graduated in July and thank God got a job in October so hopefully will be able to apply to this scholarship in 2021. I wonder if getting a certificate for English was quite complicated? I've never done anything like that, since my major is actually English Language and Literature..
No, it's not complicated at all. Just find an institution in your country that provides certified IELTS test

Congratulations on your success! What's the deadline for submitting information about university admission on the Scholarship page? Will I have to apply separately to a university? If yes then Is the deadline for applying to a university the same as the scholarship deadline! Please answer me as I'm as much excited for this as you must've been when you applied for it!

I am currently waiting for the Chevening announcement for the long listed and shortlisted candidates. This is my first time to enroll myself in a scholarship. Wish me luck.. hehe
Anyway, am I gonna be notified earlier in January or what if I am not among 200 candidates to go through the interview stage?

the documents need to be submitted at the start of application (around sept)? or does the process starts after submitting the univ acceptance letter ?
The application deadline is on November (please check all the detailed information on Chevening website). The process starts after you submit your application on their website

Hi, Chevening requires you to have a undergraduate degree. I think if you have MBA before is no problem, as long as you haven't received a UK scholarship before.

Hello sis, I'm a home tutor for 4 years. Sometimes students come over to study in my house and sometimes I go to tutor them to their house. Could Private Home Tutoring be counted as work experience?

I like your orientation regarding to the Chevening scholarships. But my questions is language certificate. Is mandatory a language certificate for applying Chevening scholarship ?? because the payment is high to take the exam. For example, let me tell you in our country case the payment is exceeding 10000 ETB (Ethiopian birr). Hence , this is very difficult to pay them.
It is not mandatory for Chevening, but it is mandatory for when you apply to the university.
Do I need Work experience of an organization? or Working in coaching center which is not so well known Could it be granted?
Secondly should anyone gather 2 years experience from working in one company or 2 years experience from different organizations would be accepted?
Hi, working experience from any organization is accepted as far as I know, it can be from a full time job, part time job, internship and volunteering work.

Hi, you can do both at the same time, depending on the timeline of the university. But as far as I know, most UK university open their submission after Chevening so you can focus on Chevening first.

What about the money you need to stay in London? Will Chevening cover daily expenses and accommodation and materials for masters degree?
Hi, yes Chevening will also provide the scholars with monthly expenses which will be enough for accommodation, food, etc
Hello Askarina, thank you very much for this video. I was wondering if you could help me with a few questions that I have regarding the Chevening scholarship. I am still on the lookout to select the three courses from the different universities to compete for the Chevening Scholarship Award, could you help me with the following questions:
If I´m not mistaken the top of the tuition fee covered by Chevening is 18,000 pounds, correct? (As of 2022)
The majority of the universities have different fees for local students and international students. In this case, if I am a Chevening recipient will I be charged as an international student? Because usually, the international fee exceeds the 18,000 pounds limit.

Halo, mungkin yang dimaksud adalah kamu harus submit nama dan emailnya dua orang yang akan jadi referee kamu. Penjelasannya di website tertulis seperti ini:
" You must supply the names of two referees when you submit your application. If your application is progressed to the next stage of the process, you will be required to upload two reference letters to the online application system by 12:00 GMT (noon) on 25 February 2020."
Jadi, kamu harus tetap memasukan nama dan emailnya sesuai dengan petunjuk di online form nya sebelum submit. Please check link ini ya, www.chevening.org/scholarships/guidance/references/

Hi, most Master's program in the UK lasted for 1 year, it literally takes about 1 year from orientation to the submission of your dissertation. So, you probably only have around 3 months to do the dissertation.

Is ielts Nevada to get the scholarship and how to get unconditional letter from the university??
Chevening scholarship is not asking for IELTS test this year, to get unconditional letter you must apply to the university directly.
Is it OK if i submit application before seat for IELTS exam?
Yeah it's totally fine. Go check on their website and they have the timeline for application including when to submit your IELTS.

The work experience, can it be any job? Or is it need to be a spesific job, as our major that we'll be taking/we've been completed?

SabJan TV You can seek recommendation from anyone who knows you in a professional capacity, especially those who can give you a positive endorsement. Not just your boss.

Chevening application is free and anyone can apply to it as long as your country is eligible. Go check on their website.
Hi, when did you get email for interview?
When I was applying for 2017/2018 intake, I got the email in around February/March. Chevening does take a while in sending the emails, be patient and good luck!

How did you deal with the rejections?
By taking some time off. Read motivational book. Remind myself that life is more than just scholarship while telling myself that my self worth is not just based on these scholarships. Self love helped me in getting my motivation back. Good luck!
