Jason you have no idea how bad the matchup is for guy. His pressure is instantly broken against anyone with a DP I am a B Guy main and I played competitively until I realized how underpowered and vulnerable Guy was. His normals are horrible and they whiff on the smaller hitbox characters like Ken and Ryu. He needs this drastic upgrade to make him viable. I have beaten so many strong players and it doesn’t feel like an uphill battle but rather a close one. I still have to work, do footsies and his neutral game is strong. A shoto has the ability to FADC into an ultra while guy has great damage output of doing combos of 30% + damage. It evens out very well.
The amount of effort they put into Omega Guy gives me the impression that he'll be in SFV. I REALLY hope so. Guy is my fucking dude. The only person in the series to block every hit of Shun Goku Satsu.
tokyobassist And Cody hit Ryu one time and that made Ryu become Evil Ryu, I love how broken they make the Final Fight characters in Street Fighter Lore.

SF4 is the only Street Fighter series where doing extra hits is frowned upon. I can't get behind "swag combos" because of the damage scaling. Back then, there was no swag, only death :)
That's what I was thinking. He is reminiscent of the juggle craziness Guy had in Alpha 3. He was crazy fun in that game. I never really enjoyed SF4 Guy but this Omega version looks crazy. Dem hitboxes, though.
Maybe Maki will replace Guy in SFV, which would be fine by me as she's fun too, who knows. Ibuki is very likely to be in. To be honest SFV will have alot of DLC character, unlike how SFIV was handled, they'll stick to one version now, not splitting the community. So i guess Cody and Guy will end up in SFV eventually.
AeolusMN Maki is a bit different (at least in SFA3MAX) than Guy. By "bit" i actually mean she is like Ibuki, she has a ton of knockdown setup loops. Unlike Guy which is like the definition of bait and punish kind of character.

It happens when he teleports as they're knocked down/hit the ground, as if he's tracking to the same relative height. I'm sure someone else would have a better explanation for it though.
This is really late, but Dhalsim’s Yoga Legend (hcb + KK) launches the opponent in the air and uses a teleport that tracks the opponent to ensure that the whole combo will connect. So Guy somehow fell out of the Yoga Legend before the teleport and Dhalsim had tracked Guy to when he was on the ground and no in the air, thus resulting to Dhalsim in the ground
Funny how they ended up giving some of these ideas to Kimberly in Street Fighter 6. Like her ability to teleport. Her ability to combo airborne opponents into her Target combo.
