I was born in the US but came from Salvadoran parents. The last time I visited the country was 2015, and it really WAS dangerous to walk around. (Especially for tourists!) You never knew when gangs would pop up and roam around. I witnessed two gunfights on that trip and remember hiding in the house of my relatives both times. But I’m happy to say that after Nayib Bukele took over as president, everything changed! It made me kind of emotional to watch videos of my people being happy and enjoying themselves. Espero visitar pronto, amo a mi país! Great video!
Did you go back?
Not even the bees string brother definitely should go back your right about bukele it seems to good to be true😢
It not only the country is beautiful. The people from Salvador are have beautiful HEART.
I am from Ethiopia & I had too many friends from Salvador living in Canada.
Specially Hullio Hernaldo, even tho he is far from my 👀 & 👂. Aster
Brother! Man I love your content! Can’t believe you went to visit my country, as a Salvadoran I’m glad we are finally getting out of this horrible chapter that was the post-war crisis, gang control, I suffered a lot, lost a bunch of friends due to gang violence, I had to leave my country because of it, but now I’m here watching through you how beautiful and how peaceful my country has become. Love your attitude brother! Keep it up!
Gracias por hablar bien de EL SALVADOR ....es un paraíso escondido por descubrir...!
Wow Chris your channel is growing. Congrats! El Salvador is so beautiful!
Thank you for taking the time to share this videos I have watched so far three videos from beginning to end they are amazing keep up the good work man
Next time you go there you must visit Suchitoto!
Definitely one of the most complete videos on El Salvador, I have watched it twice now.
Thanks a lot! I'm glad that it has helped!
3:40 fun fact
Lago Coatepeque’s color changes usually every year for two weeks or so. From the blue that you see on the video to turquoise(yes, Caribbean turquoise). Some people say it’s because it’s a volcanic lake but nobody knows why that is but it’s stunning
Thank you for visiting beautiful El Salvador. Great information
Thanks for showing so much love on my videos!
@@Travelwithchris how dare you eat with a fork! And there not cakes not pancakes they’re TORTILLAS! Stuffed tortillas! And you eat it like such. Yes you can put the pickled on top or stuff it but don’t eat it like a cake! Most traditional is to pick up the curtido like when you pick up a stew with a tortilla.
ว้าว 🤯อะไรจะงามขนาดนี้คุณได้ไปทุกที่ของประเทศต่างๆโชดดีจังขอบคุณมากเลยคลิปของคุณ 😃ดีมาก 👍
From Honduras but some of the best people I know are from El Salvador!
El Salvador looks fun, I’m hoping I can move a vacation week to go on that trip in November. 🤞🏻
How about look up the 6000 gang members arrested in one day and the national emergency in dl Salvador that only happened three months ago
u should go during the semana Santa it's beautiful
@@angelologan1601 yeah it's about time a president stands up to the gangs there did you read tthe reason why they were arrested
You'll die there man
Hey man, great video. We visited the volcano today and you now need guides to go to the top. People are interacting with animals too much and they want to protect it. Still a great place to visit but people should be aware that they need to schedule it. If not, cerro Verde and the surrounding area is still beautiful.
Thanx Chris we will be there in a couple weeks. I already hit up salva. My wife and I can't wait!!!
I will put these on my list Chris. Enjoying your videos!
Thanks so much for the support!
Mi Pais,Tu país 🇸🇻❤

Going this upcoming weekend Sat and Sun. Tunco is definitely 1 what else do I do? I am a coffee guy, HELP!
What would you say is a monthly budget to stay there for a month, travel around the country and see and do all the things you have?
Good question. For my experience, I traveled 4 or 5 times in the last 10 years to ESA and I don't hesitate expenses, I rented a Airbnb in a private community property next to the beach for 10 people in 500 USD for 24 hours, I going to say for one person with small budget, 70 USD per day, that included $30 for a hostel or small hotel; $25 if you rent a car and $15 in food, $5 each meal. You can lower the budget per day to $50 if you use buses, $5 per day, "long distance", 2 to 3 hours one way, you pay around $5, $10 round trip, but local trips cost 25 cents and and most of the time you will make middle time trips, 1 to 2 hours for $1 to $3 one way.
Conclusion: $1500 to $2100 for one month.
You also can try to find an Airbnb and rented for one month, that make the things easy to calculate the Budget and in a secure area with all the commodities you need and cook your own food. You can bargain the stay to lower the price if you are dealing with the owner of the property
@@eagle032170 so basically american prices 😀 you don't have local posadas there with lower prices than 30 usd for hostels?
@@BigJoe1 , usually I don't stay in hostels, did it once, I find it in Airbnb for $17, very basic room, one single bed a corner table, closet and I don't remember if tv. that was in San Salvador in a good area, I think you can find something cheaper, between $10 to $15 in shared rooms.
I said $30 as an average, that can be more or less, depends of what are you looking for
@@BigJoe1 is expensive like in Costa Rica, not as cheap as Argentina or Colombia, thanks to the remittances that made prices related to properties gone up. Food can vary between $5-$25 a meal, google maps can give wrong information, so I wouldn't recommend driving, bus safety also varies depending the route, so yeah probably, $1500 might be fine, if you don't go with so many fancy meals
Great video Chris
It's our next destination in Guatemala now
You're going to love it!
First thing you mentioned about transportation is the reason why I'll never go, thanks.
😂😂😂😂

@@digarcia1890 it’s not the right way to eat them I remember I used to use forks to eat them but my mom said that’s not the right way to eat it but it’s recommended to eat with your hands in the country
All hands
I will use my foot next time. 😂😂😂
Would you eat tacos 🌮 with fork??? Maybe not. 🤣🤣 Some people may not know, may not be used to it, may not care or something else how to eat pupusas 😄.
