Jokic haters will find anything to pick him apart. This guy doesn't deserve this. He's over achieved in the NBA, why don't some people just appreciate these great players? instead of slandering and defaming a man.
And how do you feel about Embiid? A lot of Jokic fans love to hate on Embiid, so I am just curious, Are you able to recognize Embiids greatness? I'm always fascinated by this sort of dynamic

@@reneewilliams5777 Embiid is an all time talent but if he doesnt win one it'll be another Barkley situation. It doesnt help that in the playoffs his numbers decrease which is due to less foul calls which indicates hes a FT hunter that takes advantage of the leagues rules which try to promote offense. Very similar to James Harden in that regard. I think Embiid fninshes as a top 10 center regardless if he wins one but he wont sniff the top 25 players ever if he doesnt win a chip

I feel like there is some overlap with people who aren't going to like the WNBA no matter what and people who don't want anything good to come to Jokic (besides fans of Minnesota or OKC or anyone who currently needs to get past Denver to reach the next level. Your hatred of Jokic is validated, but please check back in after the fact and reassess the way I did with Patrick Ewing, thank you).

The majority of people who make the NBA profitable don't care about fundamentals and schemes, XsOs whatever, they care about athleticism.

I like Jokic's game. I like it a lot, but I also think the WNBA should come up with more modifications to suit the average players body and skills, aka, lower the rims. The ball is smaller, volleyball uses a lower net, tennis has shorter matches, the WNBA three is closer.
How much would Steph be making if the NBA had 12' rims and only outlier freaks like Dwight Howard could dunk with any regularity?
Steph could still shoot and pass and dribble but overall viewership would be a fraction of what it is because heaving it up to the backboard from 3' away isn't aesthetically pleasing.
But all that said, Jokic's game is aesthetically pleasing, to me anyway, but I could see his lack of conspicuous athleticism contributing to people not giving him credit

what type of all time big man does this happen to? Shaq was swept twice. Wilt failed numerous times. Moses never won until he was dealt in one of the leagues worst trades in history and paired up with Dr. J. So yeah most all time centers lol. This aged poorly. You have to admit Jokic might be a bit fraudulent. 0-5 all time vs 50 win teams in the playoffs and he was -28 in game 6 and 7 vs the wolves.
There's a segment of Jokic fans that refuse to acknowledge anything good about Joel Embiid! And Knicks fans that call Embiid a flopper but refuse to acknowledge that Brunson jumps into defenders to draw fouls. I try to tell people tou can acknowledge greatness in one player without knocking another player, but fans are irrational Lol
So the only negative thing you can come up with is a portion of his fans are biased. Got It. 👍

I wasnt looking to do this, but with that headline ill give it a shot, legit criticisms from g6:
1. Jokic is getting shot over (closeouts), lobbed over under the rim, and is making too many non-contests in first quarters - bad defense
2. Jokic is letting his team jack up 3s and mentally quit non elimination games rather than confronting teammates and getting his guys to drive to the rim when shots arent falling
3. Jokic isnt providing the leadership to challenge his mates when they aren't playing with urgency (lakers series, games 1/2/6) and now his co-star's health is compromised because theyve opted for a long series
These are lessons most champions learn before their rings, but im old enough to remember how flawed the west was last season (DAL, LAC, LAL, MEM, PHX, NOP)
So he's a bad leader now, Jeez, dude. That's need even true. Nuggets were bricking wide open shots. Jokic going to tell them not to take wide open shots?
Last year in the west. The Wolves had KAT, Gobert and ANT. Lakers had AD and lebron, suns had KD and booker. Bad competition? I remember the suns being favored in that series. Teams don't choose who they play against in the playoffs. Gtfo with this BS. Your only valid criticism is the defense, a lot of that is due to his lack of high vertical jump and lateral quickness.
