Phantastisch, was du aus Schrottholz basteln kannst. Respekt! Unglaublich, was die 22mm Stahlkugeln für eine Trefferwirkung haben. Das möchte keiner abbekommen.....👍

There is a certain measure of joy in your laughter that is higher when you build and use a slingshot versus all your other videos. I've really missed this, Joerg. Thanks for bringing it back.

Finally a good ol fashioned video
Fun to see the shooting edit!
Keep it raw as is! Oh I would love to see you put on some keyboard key tops (the thin bone plates) on a slingshot, making it high class luxury

Nice build and tutorial! Appreciate all your builds but the slingshots ones remind me of hanging out with the lads and talking about the insane things you fired - the good old days!
Followed you channel for over a decade now. Remember the first video I watched, you fired a slingshot that was "H" shaped.
Anyways, thanks for the trip down memory lane. Stay safe big man👍

  • @anandoadzemi

Welcome home slingshot man. It is good not to forget basic skills even so you are making spaceships in archery. During all those years you have made a lot of slingshot's and this is your way to tell the people that they can make slingshot in survival situation too from nothing and with minimal knowledge and tools.
I saw an wood finish made from lime soaked in water and brushed on the wood. After scratching off lime from the wood, wood had beautiful reddish colour. Also rubbing wax in the wood makes brownish finish, and it's darker with more rubbing. But you should make tests on a scrap wood and then make a choice. I used once simple commercial black wood colouring by dipping wood into can, and after that oil varnish. It ended great.

Joerge; I get the impression that you might benefit from slightly longer rubber bands. You seem to be running into the limit of stretch on those bands, where the force goes up a lot for the last few centimeters of draw. Or I could be imagining it.

As much as I appreciate all the beautiful materials people build Ss's out of, I love seeing channels like this do great builds with free materials. Not everyone has the spare money for fancy materials nor fancy tools. I can't speak for the rest of the world, but here in Canada, shipping pallets are always available for free and even advertised on websites that list local "used" goods for sale. Some businesses love to have people come take them away. And you can actually get some very beautiful wood grains and even hardwoods from some of them! I've got some pieces of split firewood I pulled out of a load than have an incredible wavy pattern in them!

Joerg, all my life people have been telling me "not to polish .....", but I am convinced you could make a slingshot out of one. Awesome little handful, that! The board looked like Oriented Strand Board- or OSB; this was a subfloor sort of thing to build floors on top of with pretty large capacity. I wouldn't want to drive nails through it, and you hammered through it with steel balls.

@@Slingshotchannel I don’t blame you, while slingshots are still a great bit of fun to be had, it doesn’t necessarily make sense to put time into a design that is basically already been perfected. there are other muscle operated weapons that would be interesting to see brought into our modern world, of course with your work as of late being blowguns. They’ve been my preferred projectile weapon for target practice recently because as long as I don’t smoke, I won’t have to worry about finding the power for the blowgun or have to maintain any bands.
