Great price! These are on sale right now in New Zealand too since the G2 came out I am keeping an eye on them and hoping to get a great deal like you did
Bought the second gen for $1800 on the recent sale. Have had zero issues. Probably the best HDR of anything I've ever tried. I was disappointed it wasn't 8k for the size but I've grown to love it.
I have the same problem with my samsung 34 inch ultrawide and a macbook air m1. I think it's maybe Apple M1 related because I think I also occasionally had it with an LG ultrawide
@@twoBitTech I can see in mine as Eye saver mode , it has three options off, low, high when I click it to low or high the brightness gets much higher and I m not able to turn it down it says function not available
That is really odd, it sounds like its doing the opposite of saving your eyes, try seeing if your computer has that feature to bypass the tv setting also have you considered blue light glasses? Isaac has a pair and loves them and they are really light !
😆 I feel ya. I'm contemplating buying one now for £1150, directly from Samsung... BestBuy is wild 😂 It's either that, or the G8 for £950... But I can't decide on risking OLED for extra 🤤 or playing safe with the mini-LED version.🤔 But, +200 for +23 inches is quite the temptation, even at the risk of defects.
@@drunkhusband6257 better standardized support due to limited skus, better hdr ,better reliability to not crash almost as good as linux , better ui , better support from softwares suites, snappier , less(almost non existent) noise than equivalent pc , no forced updates , no need to tweak and hack registry edits after every update, better handshake between other devices in the ecosystem, less heat generation, the memory is unified so almost 128 gb can be used for llm and ai instead of 24 gb on a rtx 4090 or 48 gb on other Enterprise gpu that you can use on a desktop pc. Less cleaning hassle, less desk space needed. Overall its a powerful plug and play workstation. The only reason windows exists is because its cheaper to license for Enterprise and less wonky than linux for a normal working joe, And gaming. That's it.
For Video Editing in Final Cut, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve, I've found that Apple is Optimized and more reliable to use with less crashes. but when it comes to 3D modeling/animation and video games, PC is for sure the Better Option. And that's Exactly how I use them. They both have their strengths and weaknesses for sure. :D
I never buy any products from Samsung, i had their TVs back on the days and the tv not last long not even 1 year, compared to my 2010 LG tv until now. I respect with all their technology advancement but their technology is sucks. Thats why Apple is always at the right track. Slowly nut for sure quality is there.
well Samsungs phones are great in my opinion, though i have the 13pro max , i think Samsung is not afraid to mess things up if it means they learn something from it. Apple doesnt take that huge risk that Samsung does. Apple has that same style and everything they do is like an ecosystem that just works together. But that's just what i feel. really appreciate your input ! id love to hear more of your thoughts on it !
Samsungs motion is a issue as well. I had the samsung odyssey neo g7 32" and returned it 2 days days later due to bad motion, Local dimming on high didnt look right while in games or normal web browsing and all and HDR looks meh on monitors What got me to, Everyone said the "samsung odyssey neo g7 32" is the one of the best monitors for gaming on next gen consoles and pc. No far from it...

$1,800 is not bad ! 8k would be nice! hopefully the next gen will have it, at not so much of a mark-up !
HDR is trash, leave it off...

oh man id say trust your gut ! if you can return it why not try both! but let me know what you go through with !
Ooooo cool stuff
we thought so too!
yeah $3500 for a monitor is bonkers
right ! especially since the 2nd gen is only $1,800!!
You should have bought 3 😎
That would be Epic! Gonna need a bigger desk for sure
How about you stop using apple and get a real computer. How's that for a concept?
Each of our computers serves a purpose, yes even the macs ! :)
@@twoBitTech What purpose could your mac possibly have over a decent PC.....oh nothing
