BBoy CrazyflexX it seriously does. The complete randomness of it coming on while running in this beautiful landscape, its just a moment that I’ve never experienced in a video game before. It’s incredible.
Agreed; the time I have spent playing DS, still at it by the way, has been an illuminating experience. It has become a much more meditative adventure than I could possibly describe and all of the elements come together in an odd way that truly makes the experience shine. The music, man, it buttresses everything and really drives home the mood when you're trekking from one snowy mountain cap to a valley below.
Really hope that we see more from this game's universe and that DS is not a one and done event. That said, keep on keeping on fellow Porters. Also, to Low Roar, your music is genuinely one of the most refreshing things, aurally speaking, that I have come across in quite some time. Keep on creating!

When I first watched the video, I was hypnotized with the emphasis put on mundane activities, but it still left a bitter aftertaste. One gets tired of the exploration of worn-out concepts of desperation, loneliness and modern-day emptiness after a while.
Human isolation. Nothingness. Yes, it hurts. I know.
But this time around, I chose to look for a positive spin - and I found it.
The story of monotonous, everyday survival. Of choosing to keep going, of looking for "the sense", and fabricating it if one isn't around.
The story of a quiet struggle, and quiet strength.

I always found ways to avoid my problems with distractions. I did all the substances i could get my hands on not once realising what was in front of me. I had everything i wanted with me, around me but i chose to ruin it all with my stupidity. I hurt the one person who loved me and now I'm sitting here alone with my thoughts, it's still telling me to go get high but i don't want to anymore. I don't want to be that person anymore. I don't want to hurt the people that i care about. Everything hurts, it's so painful.

This song reminds me of how I can’t distract myself to avoid my sadness, problems, and regrets forever. Eventually I no longer have the energy to suppress the noise with distractions and my emotions take control of me. Also this song reminds me of the loneliness and emotions I feel when I think about friends that I love and deeply care about who abandoned me. The reason I still love and care about them is because I think it’s all my fault and I made them leave and forget about me.

I heard this song for the first time last night. It is seriously the prettiest, most relaxing song I've ever heard. Beautiful, keep it up. ♥
This is one of my favorite songs from the album. From the lyrics and music, there is such a distinct feeling of drawing peace and serenity from a place deep within, when things just become overwhelming, uncertain, or life is too much. I am what is now known as an HSP (highly sensitive person; I'm still learning about the concept myself), and this song resonates so much with what I feel in so many moments in life that I can't really express it well enough verbally. There is so much there. And, this song is just so stunningly beautiful, one of the most beautiful I think I've heard.
Also, this video is incredible; the last third (in the red room) made me cry. I can't say it enough - thank you for your music.

Adding a fresh comment; this video is one of my all time favorites. Never fails to bring the feels when I watch or listen to this particular tune. Low Roar got me through incredibly rough patches in 2020, especially with the loss of my father back in June to cancer. I will say that Death Stranding introduced me to this band, but thankfully YT serves as a good rabbit hole to sample and appreciate more work. Thank you.

The best find this year for me...it's hard to conceive of finding anything better at this moment, perhaps during this lifetime...
It was the best find for me in 2014-2015 I think. I'd say my best finds for 2018- 2019 were Jonathan Bree and Sleep Party People. They're all extremely different but share that melancholic / depressive vibe that I love so much.
Saw them play at small intimate venue in Brighton, UK about 4/5 years ago now. Was an amazing experience and I'm glad they're getting the recognition they deserve from the influx of Hideo Kojima fans.
Amiina is one of my favourit instrumentals bands and low roar that guy is tearing my heart with his voice

THEOTHER KEVINSMITH I saw Ryan live last week in front of 30 people in Luzern Switzerland. He played solo, guitar and piano, for free, for two hours and is was the best live performance ever. I had tears in my eyes, it was crazy. Ryan stayed afterwards... I just took his hand, said thank you to him... he is unbeliveably humble, a true master.
