My hat goes off to you for learning the V2 & V3 at the same time. I believe that the "iron reject " toggle on the V2 would have prevented you from having to dig that strap hinge. However, it seems like the V3 was trying it inform you of the iron content as well. You are correct the V3 is not as quiet as the V2. Both of these detectors are awesome!
They really are incredible machines and I still don’t know which one I like better, they have similarities, but yet they’re so different from each other. It’s a real fun journey learning these. I’ll try to document as many trips as I can. Hopefully, I can help people decide if they want one, both or just how to use them. It’s a general purpose, search coil, size and frequency. Georgie changed the frequency from 7 kHz to 10 kHz on the 10 inch DD new design. I’m happy with it😃
