The challenge was always to out climb the K-8’s with the 13 in thermals but you had to be really on top of the game. With a good K-8 pilot there was no chance of winning but sometimes I did....👍

When I was a kid my dad took me up in an open cockpit glider. We sailed over Northampton and it was sheer magic! Then he got a friend to take me up in his Tiger Moth! That's the only time I have ever been proper flying! I still remember it 50 years later!
Wonderfull !! Is this allowed in rule to fly in glider open ? And in ULM ? I want to take flight lessons in aerooclub and this will be realy a decisive point of choice between ULM and glider. I definitly want to do that : feeling the air and the speed with opened windows like you in this vidéo. I one of the two doesn't allow that i will choose the other.

It's probably the best two seater trainer. I've done soaring flights in them. Do it while you can as they are dying out.

At 2:50 you can see it looks like they removed the canopy from a standard model. See the lip there on the edge where it would fit in.

Yes, it is allowed if the open canopy is legal on this glider. What is ULM?
