@slayer True, but some people also want respect & rank in their respective field. Hard to believe, but it is also true that for those people, money is secondary, but the position is their first priority.
All those struggles, disappointments, fear of being labelled a lifetime failure etc etc dealt in a soothing way. But upsc preparation itself is always a lifetime experience.

Last happiness is amazingly. The UPSC journey is full of troubles but, we are not special one are tackling from this. There are example of a lot of students who has given own 💯% for their prep. I wrote upsc exam being a jee aspirant... Seriously questions are actually easy in physics, chemistry and maths as we did far tougher sums in jee... But geography, history, civics and current affairs clean bowled me... Barely solved 15 questions in gk
Jee is tougher than UPSC. And I'm not saying that, it's accepted officially. The world's hardest exam is Gaokao of China,then comes JEE and at the third number is UPSC
JEE and UPSC are entirely different exams ...jee is only about pcm level knowledge whereas upsc tests almost everything from knowledge to personality... moreover selection ratio in upsc is way lower than that of jee.

Every single creative video on upsc shows the protagonist winning, the success is simplified. Reality is - You need to get up early in order to finish so and so topics and need atleast 3-4 hours of sleep, but you simply cant. All that you crave is for sleep. You lose health, sitting and reading for 3-4 years. Obesity, cervical spondylosis, pcod, what not.. You end up losing friends and relatives. At times, you doubt your sanity. You lose self esteem. 1 attempt. 2 attempt 3 attempt 4 attempt You question even your existence. No savings. No job No support No normal life. No single day without guilt. Still with hope

In my view if u clear prelims 2023 it is more easy to crack upsc.because in upsc ,prelims is the toughest part and somehow personality test.
