I completed my engineering and worked in IT for 4 years. Now after grilling through 40 hours everyweek and becoming a Senior Data Engineer, I realised the Indian job market. Got an admission in a US university finally and I'm all set to rectify my mistakes.

The fact that i am away from home and my parents for graduation, living in hostel all by myself and then will be going abroad for masters hurts so much, but then it is what i always dreamt of, that is studying in premium institutions, which motivates me to keep hustling and moving ahead. 🧿

I decided to study abroad after 12th...attended many interviews and I got offer letter from 3 universities for their best course.....but it was that time some idiot told to my parents that studying abroad after 12th is not gonna be a good option... @@sedtedtalk well expectations are never met fully, are they? Very tiring for the NRIs and their relatives back in India. Once you are in your 40s and above, the idealism of the home left behind usually doesn't stay for long when you come for visits. And parents and siblings and others in india are usually extremely demanding.

In my state, their is one small difference b/w Me and Us. We always use Us in our sentence instead of me.
In our young age like 18-30, we always have my dreams , my career and my independence and so on. Its good to achieve but on what cost.
Parents is something you can't understand , they always say yes irrespective of what they are feeling.
Sometimes your parents required you presence in their difficult time (may be varies for every individual). So if you are not their when they really need you then what's the use of your success.
If my family is not with me along with my dream then its totally useless.
One of my friend said to me i will not live my parents in future , i asked why he said , i want make them independent. I just smile after that and leave.
Because some days back i also think like then something happen that make me feel like useless.
I lost my father.
I was not their with him in his last time. I was enjoying my so called independent life.
Alert Difficult time came without alert and life is unfair.

@@4p0c4lypse well, we're not the same. I love India. There is a sense of affection and belonging in India, but not a lot here. I love staying with my parents and being in my own house. They have a life back in India so they definitely can't come here and shift their entire life just for me. It is not easy at their age to accept change in their lifestyle and completely adapt to a new one. But I can. and I want to. For them. They have sacrificed all their life for me. so this is the least I could do for them. And in fact, they want me to stay here. But I don't want to. And it is easier said than done. You wouldn't know because you are still in India. The grass is always greener on the other side. While it is actually not in reality. Staying here is difficult. So yes. I am going back soon. And anyway, according to the new rules, parents can't stay with you forever in the UK now. Not as dependents. Rules have changed.

As an only child of parents that too a girl...I can't say how much this vdo was related...it's very hard to leave your parents alone when they have less knowledge about technology and you are responsible for everything and then suddenly you decide to study abroad...but they are so supportive that they are ready to send me anywhere I want to but how will I leave them alone here
