@@msoynri did you test drive the new one? Please can you explain your test drive experience in terms of Driving pleasure, fuel efficiency, comfort, road noise compared to old Aqua. Thanking in anticipation.
@@JustRandomThings yes, I live in same general area as the youtuber so they are now available to drive. For reference my old one is a 2017 x-urban.
1. Road noise / Wind-sound through window seals- there is some in old aqua, still there but a tad tonned down.
2. The car feels more soundproof than old but not as good as new vezel or Mazda 3. Quieter ride than old for sure.
3. In old I feel when the engines change, but with new I couldn’t. Smooth transition between electric and petrol
4. Seems to have a bit more kick than old and lower pitch engine sound.
5. Fuel efficiency I couldn’t get a proper feel, too short. Sorry.
6. 3 drive modes are good, I could change between a smooth ride and engine breaking (snows here a lot in winter so important for me)
7. Bendy road- pretty much same
8. Size and space at the back- same same, but the shelf in trunk with 4wd/ option in FF is nice as it makes the trunk level with folded back seats, still there is an angle, going up to the front.
7. Hand-break…. Why… it’s the feet push one under the steering wheel.
8. Better driver seat positioning options.
9. Interior better quality than new Yaris/ Yaris cross (god I hate their plastic feel, aqua feels better even in lowest trim - seen at another dealer , but driven a second best grade- interior feels nice. Similar standard to x- urban version with leather like soft touch for G and Z grades )
10. Back visibility as poor as before, I use back camera and it’s small so I don’t really care.
In general, there are good improvements but still some old aqua issues remain but at lower level ( street/ wind noise). Still a fun little one that is nice in city and up the hills.
I am no expert though and it wasn’t that long of a test drive, though it was a mix of town, hills and a fun 🤩 road.
Funny story: In my old aqua I built a bed through front seat and drove around Japan 😅😅 who says you can’t car camp in a hatchback.

Such a shame the Aqua didn’t make it to Europe. It actually looks better than Yaris
Forget the Yaris. The Aqua looks way more attractive.

What was the fuel average you got duri g test drive?
At 14:00 you can see at the screen that it averaged around 27 Km/L
