    I bought, 2 years ago, a Ford Commercial 65 HP diesel, with ROP cab, and 5000# capacity front end loader for $6000. Has 2900 hours, and weighs 9300 lbs. 1988 model. Everything works fine, but it could use new tires.
    Seller even delivered it from Nacadoches, TX to Mineral Wells for $100 extra.
    It's way bigger than I need.

    Where do you buy your filters and replacement parts for that tractor?.........I'm a big Dave Ramsey fan myself......it's true what he says.....I got almost 2 million banked, and still do my oil changes, mechanicals, and stop at yard/garage Sales.......and don't have any debt........all cash....... if I pay with my credit card, its payed off before the ink is dry on the receipt........keep up your good work..!

    Oil color on a diesel is not a very good indicator of oil quality. That said, unless you get records to show when the last oil change was done, it is fairly cheap maintenance and recommend doing any time you buy a new tractor, truck or car.

      Not oil color but oil content. I said in the video that I did change the oil as soon as I got it. That Fram filter is new. As I also mentioned, milky oil can indicate water/coolant in the oil which means a seal/gasket is going bad. Also, metal flakes in the oil is something you need to check for to see if there is damage to the cylinders, bearings, valves, etc.

      Country Living Experience when I stated oil color not the best indicator of oil age, is that diesel’s tend to have darker oil than gasoline engines. Thus black looking oil would not indicate a need for an oil change. Those are good points on milky color indicating water in oil at which point you should probably continue looking for a tractor. Another point to go with this is oil in the antifreeze. Actually anything other that funky green of antifreeze would be a concern. Unfortunately, you will probably mot find metal flakes until doing that 1st oil change. My experience is that metal flakes tend to not come out on the dipstick.

    I suggest you put a cable tie around the joystick boot. Water and then rust is not good in those controls.

      Country Living Experience Do you have a hard time finding parts for this brand? Im actually buy everything online for my 7530, I found some parts are not longer manufactured for my model.

      I have not had a problem yet, but I have to buy everything online.

    You got a decent buy and lo hrs most diesel tractors if properly maintained the engines last about 5,000 hrs. I am a retired diesel mechanic heavy equipment and road trucks. A bit of advice on fuel, Power Service Bioclean and their Diesel Clean I highly recommend and your injector issue will probably clear up.

    We have 2 Massey Ferguson tractors that are over 50 years old that we bought used and run great. We are looking to buy a Brush Hog though they are pretty expensive here even used you got a great deal on yours. We have 300 acres to maintain. Be very careful with your kids and animals around it and don't take them for rides on it. Our children are grown but we have 2 grandsons to look out for. Good Luck.

      Yes we do, they come in the Spring and leave by the end of November. They pay our taxes and we get a tax rebate from our government for being seniors. We bought this place 30 years ago when we were probably about your age. We could never afford it now. Property has gone up so much around here. Enjoy your place it is a great way to raise children and teach them about the real world. God Bless Lynda.

    Does your oil cap have a dipstick attached? I have an 06 7360ss and the oil check cap is just a cap. I have tried to research, but havent had much luck with results.

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine are separate. The oil fill cap is forward of the dipstick. The dipstick is back toward the fuel bowl.

      thanks for the reply, I will check into that this evening. I was incorrect on the year, mine is an 03. However, it is nearly 20 years newer than any other I have owned, so it's like learning all over again.
